'Knights of Cydonia' space rockers Muse have now been confirmed as headlining both the V Festivals which take place on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th August.
Matt Bellamy and company have been announced as the headline act on Saturday 16th at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Sunday 17th at Weston Park, Staffordshire. It will be their only European Festival appearance of 2008.
No other acts have confirmed, and more acts are expected to be officially announced in the coming months, but as we get rumours of who might play they can be found here.
Tickets will go on sale again at 10am Friday 7th March.
The site is open (for weekend campers) from 10am Friday until midday Monday. On Saturday and Sunday the arena will open at 12 noon and close at 11pm (when the bands finish).

Seeing the Prodigy live was probably one of the highlights of my life to date, they were quality. They were rubbish at V Fest, but amazing at Creamfields, really on top form. Not as good as Dexys at Manchester Academy though.

Bollocks - took a punt on the V this year and got 4 tickets with camping from the first batch that go on sale before Xmas. Really dont like Muse that much! Nothing too exciting on the strong rumour list for me except Prodigy (seen them 6 times so far and would be very happy to see again though)
Certainly looking for a surprise now though to be added - ie a really big name - Foo's, Killers etc - ffs if Glasto have gone for Jay-Z which is pretty different then V cant pull off the same type of surprise without being criticised for following suit...
Oh well
