half the board said he would fit like a glove, the other half said we would have to change our style to suit him most said it was a lot of money for the deal
either way he has been brilliant in nearly every game, works hard, chases, scores goals, assists, and generally better than he has been for spurs (my spurs mate again)
he must be loving it here

People were right to say that he didn't look like he suited us early on, because that's exactly how it looked. The difference is that he has changed his game and is challenging the CB's in the air and I have never seen him more dominant in the air in his career as he has been in the last 2 games. He looks to have adjusted his game to suit our style and looks to have settled in brilliantly.

Said he would Score 10-15 Goals this season when we signed the lad. Crouch is a class act.

These last few weeks though, either he's changed to suit us or we've changed to suit him- probably a bit of both, but he's looking the part now far more than i ever thought he would. Fantastic player yes, (but it was never his ability that was really in doubt). No-one will convince me that £10m for a 31 year old is ever going to be "a fantastic deal" though, no matter how good he looks in the short-term.

10m is a lot but that is the price of pushing on. If that signing convinces some decent players we can match their ambitions then it will prove to be money well spent.
And Peter, movember is over son.

I still believe that a team whose tactics are based around hitting teams on the break with a single man up front, should have a player with pace leading the line and for me Crouch's greatest quality is actually holding the ball up and bringing other players into play.
To put it another way ... if we had 100% fit and in form Ricardo Fuller available, then the decision for me would be whether we play Crouch or Walters in the hole, not whether we should player Fuller or Crouch as the lone striker.

Proved today what I 've always thought that he is a taker of chances first target man second , I'm not sure any of our other forwards would have scored that. Would like to see hin with Jones in the role he started of in Turkey but nit picking.

Jamie Carragher called Crouch a 'goalscorer in a target man's body'. Having said that he's not a bad target man either!!

the key thing is... why the fuck keep doubting TP's judgement
wonder where waiting for waddo is nowadays...his heads probably up his own arse saying "shit shit shit"
What I'm impressed with is that at this rate ALL of our strikers are chipping in and as I hoped, instead of having 1 man on 20 and the rest on 5, we end up with all 4 on ten goals, or at least crouchy, Superjon, JJ on ten and ricardo and Jerome on 7 or 8....that would be a very good year

question was is he worth 10 mil... oh yes he issssssssssssssss goarrrrrrrrrrrn stoke If he keeps us up over the next 3/4 seasons goals 10m will be money well spent. The good thing with Crouch is because he doesn't rely massively on his pace his performance wont suffer as he gets older as say someone like Defoe or Owen.

He took a bit of time to fit in, but then most of the best players do.
Ordinarily I might have wondered, but overall I trust Pulis's judgement, he has rarely been wrong over the years.
