Are you sure???? ;D Asteroid: A relatively small, inactive body, composed of rock, carbon or metal, which is orbiting the Sun.
Comet: A relatively small, sometimes active object, which is composed of dirt and ices. Comets are characterised by dust and gas tails when in proximity to the Sun. Far from the Sun it is difficult to distinguish an asteroid from a comet.
Meteoroid: A small particle from an asteroid or comet orbiting he Sun.
Meteor: A meteoroid that is observed as it burns up in the Earth's atmosphere - a shooting star.
Meteorite: A meteoroid that survives its passage through the Earth's atmosphere and impacts the Earth's surface.

That's also true but it's a very rare comet which is around 220,000 miles away which is passing nearer to mars than Earth so it's not a generally big one. It will apparently just giv off light like a star to everyone on earth unless a very powerful telescope is used or if a satelitte telescope (eg. Hubble) will make it a clearer view to all. Let's hope thw guys At Jodrell bank are on their toes

Even more worrying is that the yanks are losing one of their satellites and it touches down in Feb they think, they just don't know where it will hit. But don't worry it's only 9 ton of scrap metal falling from the sky.
