Cheltenham boss John Ward is trying to bring Stoke defender Brian Wilson back to the club on loan after his initial spell ended in January.
Wilson spent two months at Whaddon Road before his stint was cut short when Stoke boss Tony Pulis recalled the right-back because of selection problems.
However Wilson failed to feature in Stoke's squad for the clash with Wigan which has prompted Ward to try to persuade Pulis to let the youngster return for a second spell.
Ward told the club's official website: "We've got three loans left we can use and I know I keep talking about Brian Wilson but I'll keep trying on that one.
He added: "We are a little bit thin on the ground in some areas so I will probably keep those loans up my sleeve in case we get injuries between now and the transfer deadline."
