Unless you still think we could go down (touch wood), what game did you think at least this season we need not worry about a relegation battle.
The West Ham was a big one as it was the start of a run but I think after the Derby game i knew we would be safe.

When we get to 53 points.
50 is normally the safety mark, but it could always end up being 1 or 2 above

To be fair we only stayed in a relegation position for just over 50 hours, although our run prior to the West Ham game was pretty alarming and had had a 'relegation bound' feeling about it, but nothing like the same sustained 'feeling' that suffered for months and months from last season.
At least we haven't had to suffer the igmony of a six nil thrashing to start a survival campaign, a Thorney hat trick served that purpose, before things got that desparate.
I think we've only looked like relegation candidates twice, the first was a Millmoor when Rotherham beat us and then even moreso at Gillingham, when we really did look and play like team willing to settle for 2nd division football next season.
The games against Forest and Sheffield were two games where I definately thought we'd proved ourselves worthy of a place in this division.......on merit!
And during the last few weeks we've more than proved it.
