We have managed to convert our car crash away football into our home performances. Well here we are reflecting another dismal performance.
Woodgate has unsettled the whole defence and Pulis must be blamed for not putting him the Euro squad, hes powder puff and no where near premier level.
Delap and Whelan were bordering on sunday league in their distribution and both look jaded toboot.Service into the strikers abysmal.
Wilson another square peg in a round hole.
I pointed out earlier in the season we were going backwards now its home to roost.

Said this last night. Aren't we meant to replicate some of our home form in away games, and not the other way round??

The most worrying aspect of lastnights game was the ease inwhich Newcastle rendered us as being hapless in every concievable way.

One bad defeat at home. Get a grip lads Though I do agree with some points. Woodgate especially. Let's press the panick button when we have lost 7 at home on the bounce like Bolton. Like I say I do agree with some points and things do need to change.

There were a few Prem. managers at the Brit last night, they will have noticed how easy Castle found it to snuff out our wide men,so expect more of the same when their clubs visit us.

I'd hope we'd start to be concerned before it's to late.

What worried me last night was Newcastle double marked our wingers and Guthrie assisted them at times.
It basically said we know your fullbacks and midfield are shit so they can have the ball as eventually they will just hoof it and we will be set up in position.
WORRYING

The fact that Newcastle doubled up on our wingers created space elsewhere on the park (e.g. for fullbacks and in CM at times) but we simply didn't have the nous (or maybe the quality) to take advantage of that situation. That's an area that we'll have to improve on substantially (especially at home) in the future.
Newcastle had a plan to snuff out our Plan A that worked a treat and sadly we weren't able to implement a Plan B.

I can find nothing positive to say about last nights performance other than Wilko put in another top class performance and you have to appreciate how long it took TP to understand he was a ten times better fullback than Huthy.
I did not consider Crouch a good signing when we signed him and have seen nothing to suggest he has given us any more than what we had but he has further encouraged the lump it forward form of attack. Lose possession and run around like headless chickens to get it back.
At least we used to have a decent defence but in sticking Wood gate in at every opportunity we have lost that. Upson has been sound in fairness but centre defence was never a priority for us.
