Why anyone would want a tattoo is beyond me! fine if you want to hold yourself back in life or join the Army, but a lot of people regret them in later life. spend your money saving for uni or something a bit more useful, no matter what age you are.
hope this helps

When I got my tattoo a few years ago I was really under the impression that attitudes towards them had changed, that the negative stereotype had been defeated and society had come to accept them. I was wrong. Those pernicious little preconceptions still exist. When I walk down the street I get strange looks, sometimes uneasy and frightened (just because of a tattoo!), sometimes seemingly just confused, reinforcing the whole prejudiced "why would anyone want a tattto?" view exemplified by SSG above. I've regularly felt that interviewers' attitudes towards me have changed after they've caught a glimpse of my tat. Held me back? Bloody right it has. And to think that all it is is four little letters across my forehead.

I know someone that has their own name tattooed on themselves, why would anyone do that? It is a personal choice of course but it has absolutely no positives IMO and makes you look pretty dodgy.

it depends if the tattoos have a message or a feeling, i was in the army and to have my battalion arms on my thigh was what i wanted to do, my love is Stoke and family and to advertise my loves to the world is a talking point, like wearing your colours abroad you are wearing it to advertise you feelings of a club to other people, this tattoo will mean i love my children and my club (not necessarily in that order) and it will be on my calf this then can hidden from view or shown when i choice. it also depends on what you get done. i can remember a bloke getting Andy Cole tat done in his Newcastle strip on his back then the next day was sold to manure.

The truth is of course that nobody really cares what your kid's names are or what football team you support. If they did care i'm sure they could just ask.

I would imagine the HR leadership in your company may not be too keen on you documenting this as your actual reason.... ???
