Anybody got any ideas why we are sweating to hit the pledge target at the prices on offer?
I am a conservative chap by nature but I honestly believed we would have pissed this total. Didn't think that 10,000 would be difficult to achieve.

st,
Not sure about your 10K figure Tez. If you take into account that for some games we've struggled to get to 13K. The away following has been around 2K (Walsall I'm thinking of here). Take away the freebees and the fact that some fans it is their odd game you're left with less than 10K. I think we will make the 8.K figure- just- it looks like it will be close though. Perhaps there is genuinely not enough fans who want to see the Potters on a regular basis? My mate is one, he can't commit to 200 quid and would rather buy the odd ticket next year regardless of the price. Even though he may spend more than 200 in the process. To him it just seems easier to do that.

I was the same, these prices are superb and i honestly believed that the stayaway fans would jump at this oppurtunity to see what is now a good side for lets be honest, very little money.
If we don't make the target the board might as well pack up and go because they couldn't possibly have offered us a better deal. That said,i am still optimistic we will make the total, hopefully the club are keeping a few hundred pledges under wraps to encourage more people to pledge.
This is a fantastic oppurtunity for Stoke to move forward, and with the sort of support that we should receive next season with these prices,we can make a sustained push for the hallowed land.
Come on Stoke!

I actually though about this for a while last night, and after thinking about it for ages I couldn't get my head around why we haven't already hit the target......however I think you'll find my final thoughts on this subject on the ID CARD thread at the top of the page.........
