Three red lights is guaranteed for three years. ring microsoft and they'll send someone to pick it up, fix it and bring it back within three weeks
Havn't you asked this before?

service.xbox.com/register.aspxClick on that link and fill in the form, you will get it repaired for free, they now have 3 years warranty so yours still has this cover. Or search google for a local company that repairs them who will send it away for you.

My sons has just come back as new. apparently everything is renewed apart from your hard drive which you take out before you send it off. Any one want to make me an offer (sensible) ;D? It broke two days before Christmas and with him having some games on his santa list, i went out and bought him an Elite It has two controllers one of which is wireless. The end. i thank you.

The contollers are the babies of the Xbox, you can't split them apart.
