Shotton and Wilko should be our fullback pairing against the shit on current form alone..
United are so quick down the wings as well and these two are fast.
Huth was woeful again and we are doing the team and Huth no favours.
Added to a stagnant midfield that cant pass wind and we wonder why we can build up play.
I swear Messi and Rooney wouldnt notch many in our set up.

Wilko is not a great fullback. His distribution often puts us in danger, he can be solid at times but not on a consistent basis. Squaddie at best. That being said I think I'd rather those two to be fullbacks than Huth and Wilson.
Against United I think we'll go 5-3-2 like we have in the past and did against kiev.
Bego Shawcross Huth Upson Shotton Wilko Wilson Palacios Delap Walters Crouch
At the Brit this may be enough to get a point. If we go 4-4-2 and push United will do what they've done all season, go blow for blow and batter the opposition. Playing 5-3-2 on a small pitch with two fast fullbacks, Palacios and Delap in the centre to provide further strength and Wilson pushing balls through hopefully we could get something from the game.

We HAVE to play Wilko at right back against United.
If we play 5-3-2 I would suggest that we won't register an attempt on goal.
Wilson is going to get raped by Nani if he plays at LB.

Nani vs. Wilson isn't even worth getting up for next Saturday.
It has GOT to be Wilko, hasn't hit?

We played 4-4-2 against Liverpool and had 1 shot on goal I think, the pen, so I can't see how playing 5-3-2 against United would make much of a difference to the attacking mentality we have against top teams.

I cant fault Wilkos workrate, he is a 100% Stokie and always thunders around. But he does not possess much skill and his plan is always to hoof it as hard as possible in the direction of the opposition goal. This is a no nonsense approach but is not Premier League quality....but i agree we need Huth and Ryan back in the middle.

Whoever plays left back is going to get destroyed by Nani, if he did it to Cole he can do it to anyone.

Its United not 'the shit', but as you were. No, we're playing Manchester United. 'The Shit' is less ambiguous than 'United'.

Its United not 'the shit', but as you were. As others have suggested, Mr Babe, it goes without saying that referring to Mcr United as "United" is arrogant. But it is also rude. Just as it is for Mcr City supporters to refer to their team as "City". The only circumstances in which it is acceptable is in conversations/exchanges between fellow supporters or between supporters of the two clubs concerned. Otherwise, it's the equivalent of people referring to their parents in the third person as "mummy" or "daddy" - as though they are the only mummies and daddies in the world. That might be OK within a family (or when speaking to a very young child). But in all other circumstances it is ill-mannered and ignorant.

Doesn't matter what team we play. We're going to get our pants pulled down and well and truly dry humped by United.
May as well park the bus and hope that we can hold on for 90 minutes.
The Besiktas and Swansea games are the main games for us imo. It;s a shame that they're only 3 days apart as we could do with playing our A team in both those games.

I almost got head butted on a night out recently for suggesting to a "United" fan that he supported Sheffield/Colchester/Rotherham etc;. Luckily he was so drunk his attempted nut missed me.

At the pub yesterday i asked a United fan why he supported United since he was from the south.
He told me that it was because his uncle is an Arsenal supporter.
