Interesting to read in the sentinel that the Icelandic Board are still fully commited to Stoke City in an "upbeat message" from GG on Magnus Kristinsson's behalf.
More interesting perhaps will be November when the icelandic shareholders will be entitled to call in loans totalling several millions.
Is this pledge idea a tester for their planned future commitment?

His assurances will allay any immediate fears of an Icelandic withdrawal into their financial shell - or an attempt to sell their control of Stoke City - but November remains a potentially critical turning point in the club's fortunes as Icelandic shareholders will then be entitled to call in loans totalling several millions.
