As many of you know, i sit behind the dugout at home games.
If anyone read about Mick Halsall's unbelivable behaviour against Walsall then read this about Paul Jewell.
Never really had a problem with Paul Jewell before. The usual "Sit down" banter was shouted at him and his assistant.
When i saw Jason Robert dive, i couldnt believe what i saw. What an absoutle disgrace. I was fuming about it and shouted "cheat". Didnt swear much at all.
Around the 75th minute, after Roberts had been sent off i stood up (i literally sit five rows behind the dugout) and said
"I hope you fine Jason Roberts two weeks wages, that dive was an absoutle disgrace"
Now i shouted this loud, but i never used foul and abusive language. I have witnesses to that.
Jewell turned round and said "Sit down your prick!!"
Now, that wasnt very nice. I was quite shocked by this and unfortunately didnt say anything back. Now i have thought about it i wished i has said
"Why dont you come up here and make me"
Of course Wigan went onto score in the 84th minute and Jewell took the pleasure in turning round to me and celebrating in a very exicted way, jumping around the techincal area punching the air.
In the 92th minute, seconds before the ref blow the final whistle, Jewell looked directly at me and said
"Fúcking yes, you prick"
I thought best not to say anything and noted it down in my head.
Now i really dont think this is acceptable behaviour, do you?? Some banter is all well and good, but to say that is out of order really.
This guy is paid thousands of pounds to stand there and take it. It's really not on or am I over reacting??

Magbe some people should come and sit in Block 15 Lower Tier. the banter is great fun and far greater than anywhere else in the stadium If you havent sat there, then you can't knock it. Unfortualtey my mates want to get a season ticket in the Boothen End (cheap skates) but I will be back behind in dugout against Sheff Utd and Wigan and if Brighton get promoted.

Sounds like great fun Padders. Might sit there just to see what it feels like to get verbally abused by a big, fat, scouse cunt

To be honest there isnt many managers left that are trouble makers
But, then again i didnt think Jewell was.
Ipswich - Joe Royle - Could be fun Watford - Dont care, cant even remember who the manager is WBA - Gary Megson - Got alot of time for Gary Coventry - Some unknown, so not bothered about him Rotherham - Ronnie Moore - Could be intresting West Ham - Alan Pardew - Not had a problem with him in the past Gillingham - Andy "I'm a diving cúnt" Hessenthlar(sp) - Unfortuntaely this is last game of the season, so the game probably wont be worth anything

Padders, I wouldn't write off the last game of the season as not being worth anything just yet. A few Gillingham fans are getting quite worried about that last game of the season, and the irony of the Pulis/Akinbiyi link and the memories of Rob Styles at Priestfield haven't been lost on them. They're in a little bit of trouble down at the bottom right now. They've got a massive game during the week against Forest and I'm pretty sure they've got Norwich and West Ham away coming up, so they could well be in the bottom three in a week or two if other results go against them. I would love it, just love it if we could send those wankers down on the last day of the season. Not that I'm bitter or owt.

True Dave,
There arent doing well this season. It's more than likely to be a nothing game for us.
But as you say, i'd love it, just love it if we win the game to pinch a play-off spot and they go down.
Oh what a lovely day that would be ;D

Smeegs am appalled. The use of earthy language in the vicinity of my delicate ears in the JS is not to be taken lightly. If Jewell wants to use back street language he should frequent Working Men's Clubs not football matches. Typical example of common schooling and a real Liverpudlian ruffian upbringing. Regulation haircuts for all.

If the managers/players aren't allowed to swear at us, then are we allowed to swear at them?

padders,
I meant in general, not just in your case (sorry, hould of made that clear). I'm sure with the Walsall ass. manager there were stronger words used than what you used agaisnt Jewell. And there was stil people complaining then
