i think that we should. All stoke fans playing for one team, hang on, we could call our selves "little stoke"
Come on, Smudge, create a team

Yeah, because I've got nothing else to occupy my Sundays... apart from one of my sons playing in the morning and the other in the afternoon... and it also being one of my deadline days if Stoke are at home the following week. By all means, if someone wants to get it up and running then I'll help in whatever ways I can, but I simply don't have the time to get fully involved in something like this. Sorry Smudge

Adam yeah i think its a good idea but do you honestly now how much its costs during a season, to run a team.
1) Pitch with Changing Facilities £350-£400
2) Insurance £200-£300
3) Strips even if you have 1 £250 full team
4) Ref's £20 per game which would be about £200 per season
5) Training £20-30 per week for a decent place
6) Signing on fee's £50 per person
7) Trophies and end of season parties ect... £6 per trophie then players player and managers player £20 each
Yeah i now the players subs would pay for most of the same ones but where are you going to get the money for the pitch ect....
Also your manager would have to go meeting bla bla bla and all the ring around he will have to do that could cost him another £100 per month.
Then you have first aid that you have to buy say another £50-100 per season
It all adds up mate

Setting up a Sunday League team is a fucking nightmare. I set one up a while ago with a few mates and it was just way too much mither.
Getting a sponsor, chasing up players all the time, paying for all those things that mattyb mentions...it's a massive pain in the arse to get it off the ground.
Once you do, that's when your problems really start...namely, do you play for laughs or play to win. It's always the same, the good players want to win and for the best XI to start every game and the weaker players just want a laugh and to take turns in playing!
Arguments break out, theres backstabbing aplenty and it can get pretty nasty at times. We initially started out with the intention of having a laugh and operating a squad rotation system. The big mistake we made was in appointing my old man as team 'manager", expecting him to go along with the idea and just take it as a bit of fun. We didn't expect him to start thinking he was Alex fucking Ferguson and start signing people left, right and centre, just so he could play at winning trophies.
The team we started with wasn't very good, but it could hold it's own. We lost more than we won, but we had a good laugh in the pub afterwards etc. As soon we started bringing in supposedly better players for the sole purpose of improving the team, things went pear shaped, people started falling out and we had a higher turnover of players than any team Barry Fry managed. I got sick of the squabbling after a couple of seasons, and jacked it in, vowing never to get involved in Sunday football again.
sunday football is great if you can turn up, play, then fuck off home and forget about it until next week. if you are involved with the running of a team then it is an absolute horrorshow.
leave it well alone is my advice.
