A very quick and random post! Has anyone here been to Zurich? Maybe even lived there for a little while? Any info about the place and the people would be much appreciated!!

Went there for the street parade last year, excellent place. Good nightlife and nice parks around by the lake etc. 'was obviously full of out-of-towners that day so cant really comment on the locals. It's a pretty expensive place to live by all accounts though. StuttgartStokie should be able to give you more info. btw, the Smart Shop is well worth looking up if you're in to that kind of thing.  |

Cheers Dom. Good to know that the nightlife is good! I hear it's expensive, but quality of living can compensate for that I guess! What was the street parade for? And Smart Shop? Sounds intriguing!  |

The Street Parade is a dance festival, like the Berlin Love Parade but a bit more chilled out. Basically there are loads of floats parading throughout the day and hundreds of parties all over the city all night. 900,000 people there last year, half of them virtually naked women, not to be missed. ;D It's usually the second weekend in August I think. The Smart Shop is located near to the Red Light district and sells species of cactus, mushrooms and grass that you probably wouldn't find in Northwood Nurseries  |

Virtually naked? Do you need to buy one of those virtual reality suits? Now if they were really naked.....
Anyway, cheers Dom mate. Have talked to a couple of people at work about the place, and everyone has been saying what a great place it is. Sounds like the 'cosmopolitan without being a big overwhelming city' kinda place. All sounds great to me.
