How do i get my picture to appear on the profiles bit? does it have to be a web address?

goto "profile" at top
select an AVATAR from list or import your own.

It does have to be from the web. Right click the pic you want, select properties then copy the url and paste it into the "I have my own pic" box in the profiles section.
