I've not seen many more players with the natural ability that Commons has. He's spent a career in the Championship when he should have been playing in the top league. Such a shame that he never had the ambition or bottle to go with the ability!

its true. when he came through the ranks i genuinly believed we have the solution to england's left-sided 'problem' at the time (remember when we were persisting with steve mcmanaman there). He was two-footed, fantastic technically and had that low centre of gravity all great creative midfielders have. For me he could easily play in the premiership, and for a top club, but like you say if you havent got the minerals you havent got the minerals.

A twat with a god given ability. I never liked him and remember his first game against Stoke playing for Forest, he bottled it and was subbed if I remember right. The fact is though he is a truly talented footballer who should have done better with his career than he has.
