Just thought I'd start a post where you can mention any REALLY obscure players from the top two divisions who just dissappeared without a trace!
Some of the old names really do generate a good laugh...here's three to start with
1. Marc Degryse (Sheff Wed) 2. Fabian De Freitas (Bolton) 3. Michael Frontzeck (Man City)
Any better ones?

Wasn't there somebody called Squeezem Berger-- strange. And I think he's still at Gills: Nyron Nosworthy!

Richard Sneekes (W.B.A) Was quite a decent player, if my memory serves me correctly Chris Hay (Barnsley??) I think this bloke had one brilliant season, scoring loadsa times haven't heard of him since Michael Tonge (Sheff Utd) Not exactly the past but i haven't heard the media ranting and raving about him like they did last year

Don't know about 'were there any', but there's Shaun Wright-Phillips (and his kid brother by all accounts) now at Man City, and the exquisitely named Guylain Nbumbu-Nsungu at Sheffield Wednesday...
