about 4.20, kept it easy with my dodgy leg and its almost impossible to run at some points where there are narrow streets and the crowd are on the road, as I had stoke badges on my top, had a good bit of banter with the Millwall lot ;D i met the now famous Fiona, FCstokie, before the race, she's on the front page of the Times and was on the BBC news this morning. Also met a Stoke fane in the bag drop queue at the start and another at the open air plastic urinals in the 1st mile, all were heading for Wembley after I made just before kick off

TBH, crossing the finishing line, the last 3 miles were a buzz, the crowd were great and really dragged you in, the last mile was my fastest of the 26. The best bit of the match for me was the 4th goal, that's when I knew we would be in the final. WD yes they do ache, the wife has gone to Bradwell crem today for her uncles funeral and sent me to tesco, got some weird looks as i walked all funny with the occasional aagh and ooh

NS-Is that you at the front pointing at Fiona? Or the one with glasses behind ;D ;D Fi is travelling back today, she texted me with her time of 5.08, target was 5 hours so that's great (as the 1st mile takes a long time), and got to the game after 8 minutes so didn't miss any of the goals

I am back home! Had messages from Radio stoke, Talk sport and Radio 5 live on my answer machine, due to the pic in the paper. Was reasonably happy with my time of 5. 08, but more happy with getting to the match before the goals were scored as I didn't think I would get there until half time, and of course the end result topped it all. I could hear the Stoke fans singing as I walked as fast as I could from the tube station to Wembley, really spurred me on, what a fantastic day! Thanks to the Stoke fan who handed me a tenner when he saw that I had done the marathon, adding it to my total for Donna Louise. :-)
