""We have to remember who we are and where we have come from. There are some massive clubs in this division and we have beaten most of them this season, and they would love to be in the position we are in."
Typical Pulis spin. Reminding us that we should be grateful that we are even having a sniff at the top of the table.
I know who Stoke are & where they come from you condescending twat, because I have been supporting them since I was a kid. That does not mean that I shouldnt expect much when we have spent the majority of the season near the top of a fucking shit league, and we are in the process of blowing a piss easy run in (comparatively) due to you bottling it.

Hmm, I do agree with you there Pez - but he's doing what he's been doing all summer playing us down. Its important that the players come out and show that they are capable and confident that they will do it e.g. like Griff did the other day!

the majority of clubs, including Stoke, (imho) are a much of a muchness in terms of 'size',history, fanbase, potential fan base,e.t.c.
only a couple of clubs stand out as being 'small' & only maybe Wolves & Weds could argue they are significantly bigger (& even then....) on certain criteria.
obviously the real marked difference is between those clubs who are still getting the obscene (rewarding failure in my book) parachute paymnts & everyone else.
TP/Stoke have one way or another spent a damn sight more than most sides this season so playing the poor wee Stoke line doesnt wash anymore.

As PiL said "Anger is an energy..."
imho,TP hasnt really ever faced the kind of anger that other managers have copped (see Mills M).
hopefully we will get back to winning ways & beleiving in our club (including the manager) but right now its very very difficult not to be angry @ our own/TP's fuck ups

The PHW's would have settled for survival this season, so they should be grateful really.

He's trying to be positive and you slag him off FFS "There are four games to go, we are third in the table and one point off top. I don't see any need to be negative and down.
"We have to remember who we are and where we have come from. There are some massive clubs in this division and we have beaten most of them this season, and they would love to be in the position we are in.
"There are four games to go and we are right in the mix. I am positive and I know everyone in the club is.
"We are where we are in the league because we are a good team, and can we do it, I believe we can."

![:)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/KYqg3pYeaerc5lD_P7BR.gif) Lord 'Typical Pulis spin. Reminding us that we should be grateful that we are even having a sniff at the top of the table.' Ironic that most of the Pulis hating fuck pig brains trust were telling us we were going to struggle this year and now nothing but the championship will do apparently ???

imho it's best to say nowt. Let's do our talking on the pitch instead of playing these stupid games. $ games to go and 4 wins could see us in the Prem. I'll settle for that thanks.

Haha it does sound like a typical TP quote, he often comes across by saying we should stand in awe of these so called massive clubs, but the thing is, WE are a massive club too. A club that can boast the likes of having playing staff like Gordon Banks, Peter Shilton, Sir Stanley Matthews and Jimmy Greenhoff are well within their rights to call themselves a huge club.
Tony knows what he's got to do and I think it would be wrong for any fan to start having a go at him or the players, because we can still make it. We are near the top and only a couple of points off top spot. I'd rather be there than in Colchester's position at the foot of the table.
Be loyal, Be Proud, Be Stoke!

I think calling yourself a massive club based on players you had 30 years ago is a bit daft actually. Stoke City are not massive, but we are by no means minnows either.

I fully endorse TP's comments, let's not forget how many ex-Premier League clubs there are in the division and how much many teams whave spent - Norris cost Ipswich 2.5 miliion alone.

.................I doubt if many, if any at all, had the necessary crystal ball that fortold we would spend countless millions on a new team, much of which has been pissed up the wall - like last season by a manager who really shouldn't have been given that responsibility. This is not to say that we wont reach the promised land by May, it's just that with a trustee running affairs who actually knows what he's doing, maybe just maybe, things wouldn't be quite so tight now! PS. Presume momo you really meant Premiership when you wrote Championship? ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/cj7bsBj2jOTuEAUVaPt5.gif)

Ian,purely on £££ spent (transfer fees.wages, loan fees e.t.c.) this season we have GOT to be top 4 this season.
many clubs in our league must be envious of that.
