My uncle had a burst aortic anyeurism about 12 years ago whilst on holiday in Ireland. He survived and survives in good shape to this day - and he is in his 80s.
Let's hope TC makes as good a recovery as my uncle did.
At the 1972 League Cup final, TC scored the first goal and (according to the other players) was completely off his head for a minute or so - they had to get him back down to earth to get him focussed on playing for the rest of the game.
With his red hair flying as he flew down the wing he was, of course, one of our most reconisable players and is still one of the first names mentioned by fans of other clubs when I mention I supported Stoke City in the days when we were good.
Terry, you simply HAVE to get back in shape to make the Wembley semi final or, if not, the final.

Come TC I know that you are a fighter and in true Stokie spirit will pull through. I had the pleasure of being in a studio with Terry very recently and I cannot say that I have ever met a more friendly and genuine former player in my life. Get well soon Terry.

These aneurysms are really nasty things, with the worst part being that they can show little or no symptoms until it is too late and they rupture. If it has indeed ruptured, which is what we can only presume from him being rushed in and operated on, then all we can do is pray. The survival rate of a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm is something shocking like 10% but I wouldn't put it past TC to be one of those special ones. Our thoughts are with you TC and we need you at Wembley. We'll be with you, every step along the way. I would have thought it more likely to have been a cerebral haemorrage caused by an aneursym on one of his brain arteries. They will have clipped it off. Recovery depends on a number of factors. One thing in TC's favour will be his inate fitness levels. Please God I hope he makes a full recovery.

This is very very sad indeed. Met him three weeks ago before and after the game against West Brom. He hosted me, my bro and dad as part of the hospitality package. He also guided us round the Brit.
A truly remarkable gentleman and legend.
Sincerely hope he gets well soon. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you.

Simply one of the best men to have pulled on the shirt and a total gentleman. I am appalled by the number of good people we have lost recently and or who are dangerously ill.

Hang in there TC . Was thrilled we got to Wembley and what a real blow.
To make matters worse his wife, Sue is currently in holiday in Australia visiting one of their daughters. Couldn't have happened at a worse time.
