9 minutes to go and they went for jugular after being 1-0 down. When they got the equaliser, they did not settle for the draw, they went to win the game. After going 2-1, that wasnt enough and they went out to kill the game to make it 3-1. Fear of failure my arse. They WANTED the three points and were not afraid to throw off the shackles to get them. Compare that to us last night. As soon as we went a goal down, we looked shit scared. WBA will go up as champions imo. There are 4 other teams vying for 2nd spot. We cant buy a win at the moment and Hull are flying. Bristol and Watford are also suffering indifferent form The form team in the play offs are Palace. This weekend's games are CRUCIAL. Stoke MUST win. No other result is a good one as games are running out. Bristol City play Wolves at home. We need a favour from Wolves. WBA play Watford. Imo, we need WBA to beat Watford comfortably to help our goal difference and worsen theirs, provided we win of course. Hull play QPR at home. We need QPR to be on form and for Hull to start feeling the pressure. However, on our current form and obvious fear of failure, I worry whether or not we possess the necessary bottle. We have the physical ability, Im just suspicious about out mental state.

I agree.......our mental state has been suspect since the Southampton / Scunthorpe week where despite going top for the first time, I got the feeling that we were about to start struggling - and haven't wee just.......
Plus something is not right about the Lawrence absence last night - mysterious groin strain not mentioned anywhere beforehand???

It's Pulis' mental state that has been the problem. What the fuck has he been up to - taking unworkable team selections to new heights???
Attempting to 'tread water' for 45 mins (which is what it amounted to) last night was seriously the most unforgivable approach to such a crucial game I have ever witnessed.

Brazinindevon, sounds so easy that does, but this is Stoke, nothing comes easy to us it seems. We've has 3 winnable home games on the bounce and blew it, maybe our saving grace could be that we play better away from home. Heres hoping..................................................................................................................................................................................................................... and praying! ;D

Chaps we have had some banter with you guys over the past few months.I like Stoke i worked for Century oils for 10 years, are they still there by the way. We were lucky tonight we didn't have a single shot on goal until late in the seventieth minute.Strange for us Baggies considering up to Xmas the stats always showed 20 plus on target. We have not played well since we beat Scunthorpe 5-0 just after xmas. Stoke are a good old traditional club and deserve to have a chance in the premier. Yes your style of play is sometimes knocked but i hope you make it guys.If you don't make sure you beat the Dingles in the Playoffs. Oh by the way we aint there yet.4 points from Watford and Wolves and i will start believing. Keep the faith guys

Watford and Wolves should be achieveable for you.

SGS...sorry to be a pain but I seem to recall you slating a good few Stokies who dared to broach such a subject after the Watford game.
Everything was fine then though if I recall, because we were top of the league.
Well we aint anymore, and on the back of a dreadfully negative performance against Watford several shitty performances have followed.
Some of us saw the writing on the wall a wee while ago whilst others, failed to recognise what was staring us all in the face.
It doesn't matter how good your team is if your manager is shit scared of taking a game by the scruff of the neck, regardless of the opposition.
Having dominated at Shef Wed, they equalised and we accepted the draw. Good sides don't do that as WBA showed again last night, hot on the heels of their late escape v Colchester.
Shit or bust now mate...I just hope Mr Pulis realises this!
