Some would say that we are still doing it. But I would say earlier in the season the players looked as though they knew what system they were playing, Sidebe nodding on and Fuller chasing the defenders down. There is no doubt that we now have more skillful players, but they don't seem to have faith in the system, they are hoofing it but nothing is happening up front. In the first half yesterday we just didn't seem to have any idea of what we were trying to do. We have better players but a worst team. We should revert to the old personnel or play with a much more positive attitude, which it doesn't seem Pulis is willing to do. The players he has brought in would suit a more expansive style, but he wants them to play tight which they are obviously not suited to.

It could not have been any more hoofball than last night. It was route 1 at its extreme - as if they had no other clue than to launch it forward. At least earlier in the season Mama won some headers and Riccy chased - Last night directionless balls simply went to defenders!

As I've said elsewhere - he hasn't got a clue what to do with DECENT footballers.

NO! Until this appalling run, we had been playing some good stuff, in parts and, like many of you, I suspect, I'd been trying to convince non-Stokies and, in particular, their fiercest critics, that we can actually play a bit. So last night's (mainly first half) garbage was not ony a heart-breaker but also an embarrassment. At least my arrival home at 2.45. a.m, meant that I missed my WBA-supporting postman.

I think we should go back to the Fuller/Sidibe combination assuming we have Lawrence back for the remaining games. This worked for much of the season and we scored plenty of goals.
I've seen little from Ameobi in the last two games and nothing from Bothroyd to suggest he can play the Sidibe role. We haven't played two out-and-out strikers all season and even if Pulis wanted to I think it's too late to change now. Let's get back to what is tried and tested.
