with now only 4 games left to go i think pulis should put out the side that gained the majority of the points this season, but with one or two exceptions.
my team for cov on saturday would be...
Simmo
Wilko Cort Shawcross Dicko
Lawrence Delap Whelan Pearson
Shola Fuller
its not that riggott and nash have done anything in particular wrong, i just feel we need to put out the side that was winning games earlier in the season, and with shawcross and cort in the side we look dangerous from EVERY set piece.
I'd play pearson out on the left because Cresswell is..well just plain toss, i know hes not a winger etc so why fucking play him there!
i saw enough in the second half last night that makes me think shola and fuller have got the makings of a good partnership.
the biggest decision is to drop pugh and griff, if you look at the goals weve conceded of late they are mostly down to these pair, either allowing the cross to come in or failing to meet the cross at the back stick allowing the striker to head the ball down into the danger area. we have conceded so many goals that way this season. the defence just looks a lot more solid with dicko and wilko, maybe they arent as good as griff and pugh on the ball but they are definately better defensively. however i may be being a little too critical of griff as he is essentially playing out of position.
with the squad weve got now though there is no reason for any of our players to be played out of position!
thoughts?.........
