Both their goals were quality. Look at the chances we had and corners. Haven't seen the stats but I imagine they will show we had way more attempts on goal. I've seen us play games before and never have a shot. We created lots of chances tonight Cort, Shola and Fuller all should have scored. Hit the post and the bar, loads of corners. Mama too had decent chances although they don't count as he's allergic to goals. We haven't necessarily blown it, we're still second. I have to say as Stoke fans we are great when winning but go a goal down and we're collectively negative fuckwits.

Griffin cost us the first and that was down to Pulis' team selection.

The second half was ok, but we have been pretty dire for the last 12 games now and there are no signs of improvement!
We're sinking like the titanic, even when we have been top its never felt like wow we are top of the league, its like wow this league must be rubbish if we are still top.

The spell you describe is the spell after Ric came on though and I agree we had a real go and were a litttle unlucky, albeit their keeper never had a save to make really. The problem is the spell before Ric arrived and the questions left unanswered as to whether we could have won had the damage not been done prior to his arrival.

Half decent performances don't count any more. If we want promotion, wins are all that count

Maybe he did, maybe it was Pugh's clearance, Shola's missed header, Fuller not putting his shot wider, Cort missing the target it's ridiculous to blame one person. Who is to say Dicko wouldn't have been skinned or Gallagher annonymous if they'd played.

Taken out of its context as a must-win game, then as a performance it wasn't THAT bad. A draw would have been a fair result as we were well on top in the 2nd half (although that was probably more due to Palace letting us come at them than Stoke playing irresistable football)
However, it's impossible to look at the game as anything other than a catastrophic balls-up by the manager in a vital game.
If he'd have played Fuller from the start, and Dickinson instead of Pugh, and we'd still lost, then we could all sit here bemoaning our bad luck.
Sadly, Tony Pulis gave the opposition a 0-2 head start, and that was that.

It was the worst game I've seen for ages and the first that I've watched with non-Stoke-supporting mates. I've never ever left a game early in my life but tonight I was so embarrassed that I couldn't wait to leave.
I'm ashamed of you TP. That was clearly an idiotic and non-logical selection- if you were a player I'd fine you two weeks wages and drop you for a month, you fucking idiot. You've let us down, you've let the team down, and once again, you've let yourself down.
