Oil light would be on if it's oil..... The car would be overheating if it's low on water. Google it ....

It was very nice....loads of sun sand & very obese Canadians with 2 ltr thermal jugs filled to the brim with Rum punch.
In many ways it brought fond memories of Chell Heath & Fegg Hayes....
Childhood wasn't so much a pleasurable experience but more of a lesson in personal survival. Obviously , Ilda felt quite at home lounging by the pool. Lying next to her (in the shade )did provide some respite from the intense midday sunshine , but occasionally I did manage to escape to the bar. There was an extremely attractive young lady from Toronto who was extremely friendly and who offered to take me 'ice fishing' back home. I declined the offer of course , as I did mention that the Siberian temperatures of the matrimonial pit could possibly cause flash backs and extremely violent behaviour....
I never saw her again....Shame really...

Sounds like the charging system has a fault. Disconnect your battery and leave it off for 15 minutes. Connect it back again and see if that sorted it. Could also be your alternator on way out or maybe your battery needs topping up with distilled water or it might need charging. Could also be a bad cell in the battery. A mechanic once told me if you don't have a problem all the time dunna worry about it and keep going till it either breaks down or sorts itself out

I had the same on my Rover 25 the mechanic put it on the computer that tells you the code and it was the cat converter said it was overheating but whan he tested it,it wasn't. He then just cleared it and it was fine but it did come back on a few months later.

Best solution to all these warning lights is to remove the bulb behind them and thats it really. Saves a fortune in diagnostics etc. Anther top tip is to have a selection of different length oil dip sticks in the boot so you can always reach the oil no matter how low it gets. Anybody got any more money saving ideas in these days of auserity and strife?? In fact it could be a whole new thread come to think of it.

you can pick up fault code readers on ebay for about £40, bought one a few months back and its a brilliant bit of kit. Incredibly useful if you are vaguely mechanical and can fix things yourself. Bugger all use on the TR7 though
