Now with things looking up at Stoke (even after the weekend  ) What do you think the boards intentions are now?? Obviously they are trying to get people through the gates with the new "Pledge" Initiative but are they gonna invest to keep the fans happy? I fully understand that you have to walk before you can run but it'd be nice to hear Gislasson with the words "We are hoping Stoke will be in the Premiership in the next 5 yrs and we will invest heavilly to ensure that it happens " I can remember when they first came over and sent every1 that car sticker and some sort of welcome letter!!?? I think 5years is too long, we can do it within two years if they start investing now!

I would like them to continue to support the manager as they have in the last twelve months and continue to try to attract supporters.
I don't have any huge complaints about their recent actions.

Like Joe, I can't think of anything the board have done wrong in the last 12 months - and a hell of a lot they have done right!
I have to admit that I was worried last summer when the squad had been depleted and very few new faces had arrived - as was shown by our awful pre-season form. However, with hindsight, a complicated game of poker appears to have been played between TP and Stoke on the one hand and other clubs, players and agents on the other. If that's what it was - we won - and I am grateful for that!
Edit: Actually I think they got their pricing wrong last Spring but that is something the latest initiative (with more to come?) has put right in a big way!#nosmileys

Things they have done wrong
1. They tried to buy PVFC.
2. They introduced the ID card scheme.
3. They weren't going to invest any money until we got a 5th Round match against Chelsea live on Sky. It is my belief that we would not now be in Division 1 if we hadn't had got lucky draws in the the 3rd and 4th rounds of the FA Cup.
Things they have done right
1. Invested in the first team squad for this season.
2. Kept their mouths shut.
3. The Pledge prices.
4. Let us have the Academy facility for free for the Occasionals. ;D

Pricey
The ID scheme was conceived well over 12 months ago - although not implemented until about 12 months ago. Remember also, that many people prefer away games without the presence of the knobheads which the scheme has eliminated. Got to admit that the PR was pretty lousy though.
The bid to buy PVFC had slipped my memory - was it within the last 12 months?
As far as investing the money was concerned - that windfall was just over 12 months ago - so that does not fall within the 12 month period. Also, no one knows what they would have done if that money had not come to the club so speculation is pointless. However, we put in a bid for Sidwell before the Chelsea game so you can't say they were not prepared to spend money at that time.

I for one think the board are doing a good job at the helm.
Many people have suggested on time and time again that they have no intenton of staying at Stoke and taking us further but this is complete nonsence.
Division one spending has hardly been through the roof since the ITV Digital fiasco but Stoke have brought in a completely new squad of some quality. Bids have also been made for players we haven't managed to land but the board has been putting the money there.A centre half this week or next would prove that they really do have ambition for Stoke and i firmly believe we will sign someone very soon.
The pledge scheme proves that the board have listened to supporters and quite frankly if the stay away supporters don't buy at these prices,the board might as well give up because £200 for the Boothen is fantastic. The prices will never be this cheap again and i will be disgusted if we don't make the target.
All in all,i don't think anyone can have cause for complain with the board and its a big thumbs up from me!

12 months ago I would never of thought that we would sign players like Eustace, Ade, Asaba or even Big Ed!!!
Well done TP and the board for bringing players of this calibre to Stoke City!
I applaud what you have done and hope its the foundations to our push for top flight football in the potteries again!!!

I have to say i'm amazed at the progress we have made since last season. Weve gone from a relegation fight to a comfortable mid table position where we have a chance of pushing for the playoffs. Hats off to the board for allowing us to bring players in that have helped improve the club. ;D

[ 1. They tried to buy PVFC. The board of Stoke City have never made any attempt to buy Port Vale. Its a complete misrepresentation I often see repeated on here. |

Like it matters who the exact people involved were. If the people trying to buy PVFC were in anyway connected to Stoke Holdings SA then our board tried to buy PVFC in my book.

Too right Pricey. I mean, I saw that Phil Rawlins bought an airline ticket to America the other month. What are our board doing getting a ticket to America. Is this where my season ticket money is going. Its a disgrace.
Tell you what Pricey, name and shame is the only way we'll put a stop to this.
Name the board members who tried to buy Vale - and I'll do my best to shame them. ;D

Apart from the Golden share duo. I have been impressed how the board have backed TP and also trying to get things organised off the field.
The pledge I believe will hit the total very soon.
Thinks look good at Stoke on and off the field.
I sent my pledge off last week and I am not a season ticket holder
