Now and again Mr Pulis makes a cracking selection, and I personally cannot fault him on (most) of the players hes signed this season. Its a great squad, the best we've had in ages (even better than last year IMHO) and the mixture of experience and youth is there. We could have strolled this league, just like we could have last year.
However, all the fans and the players are subject to the thoughts and desires of that one man, Mr Pulis. The manager. He assesses the players, he chooses the formation, and picks the team that he thinks will win. I have never liked his defensive attitude, its great if you're fighting at the bottom of the table but pointless if you're at the top.
However my biggest bugbear about our beloved manager is his stubbornness. He should use the best players he has available. If Lawrence, or any other player, is unfit at the last moment he should have a backup plan just in case because thats what he gets paid for.
So, a plea from a very disappointed Stokie (and i know Im not alone)
Please stop playing Sidibe, because he isnt very good at scoring goals, which is what a striker is supposed to do, especially when you have Bothroyd and Gallagher to choose from. Even his assists dont justify his constant selection.
Please stop playing Griff at right back when the majority know he would be far better at left back.
Please stop paying hoofball. It doesnt work because everyone has sussed out how to beat us.
For once please listen to the fans. We want you to do well but you seem to ignore the best solution and go for what you want.
Please stop being stubborn. You are wrong sometimes. Believe it or not, we feel crushed tonight because our best chance to play in the top flight has nearly gone, and you dont seem to listen, ever. I hate football sometimes.

You know, thats just about the most honest, no-bollocks appraisal of tonight's events that I've read on here - exalt for you big feller. Just don't get suicidal when he takes no notice and picks the same XI on Saturday though!

spot on but i will never like him,he is bullshitting liar who will go out of his way to not blame himself.
i like people who own up for there obvious mistakes but tgis dick never does so he can fuck off for me even if he got us promoted..which is very unlikely now because he loves sidibe, pugh, griffin, delap, cresswell

I was saying all this when 6 games into his return and got slated for it. I'll keep saying it becuase he's a useless manager with a totally unjustified ego regarding what he considers the best way to play.
If we can see it - and we're just plebs without a coach's badge - then why can't he?

Thanks fellas
2 days later and im still pissed off, especially after West Brazil winning last night. Not only have we missed out on being champions but if we do manage to get into the playoffs and then get through its going to cost me (and lots of other people) a fortune to go to Wembley. Ive never liked Mr Pulis but Ive held my hands up for most of this season and said yes hes doing a good job but i'll reserve judgement. However he seems to be reverting to type and putting players out of position, playing hoofball etc etc.
Unfortunately its us who will suffer again if Pulis does get this wrong, not only missing out on a piece of the huge Premier pie but the joy that being promoted brings. If we go up I expect us to get thrashed every week but I dont care. Its not very often that us Stokies get to celebrate something and it always seems to be done the hard way (ie 2002).
For gods sake Tony admit you were wrong and please change things for Saturday.
