To e fair if i was at an away game in the cup as a lower league supporter, I too would sing we're going win 4-3.
I too would make unny songs about the place, and the team...Brighton just being whats it like to see a pass...Similar to "you only score from a throw in" We've heard loads of time...It's banter it's what football fans do

BR, I've come over a bit twattish on this thread, so I apologise, but I stand by every single word of my first post. WHAT,EVEN THE BIT YOU CHANGED WHEN YOU WERE PROVED TO BE A TOTAL TWAT? What's with the shouting? ??? Look mate, some of your lot made themselves an easy target with the shit that was spouted when the draw was first made. The use phrases akin to "superior football" when referring to your team were a bit silly really. Following on from that, the chants appeared to confirm that many actually believed that horsehit instead of just taking their medicine and accepting that you'd been totally outclassed. For all your supposed "good football" the most consistent pass your players made was into touch. I wish your team well for the rest of the season but please don't expect much praise after all the comments about "Neanderthals", "shit football", "hoof" and the like that was posted on NSC. The games been and gone now, it's probably best to move on and put it down to experience.

Bunny, what's this stuff about a Fans' United game? What have I missed? Originally in his "drunken"rant bunnie claimed we got some sort of advantage in our last game of the 97 season by staging a "fans United"day,a day of action where clubs from across the leagues and also from Sweden and Germany came together to show solidarity with our struggle. We won 5-0.but the game was in Feb not May,bunny changed his post to fit his lie. Please take the time to check out the CLUBS IN CRISIS link in my earlier post.

I can't arsed with all the arguments further up in this thread.
My view of the Brighton fans was they were decent fairly loud at times, kept singing and stayed on even at 3-0 at half time.
The "What's it like to see a pass?"chant was very funny obvious bit fun as they strung a few passes together at 3-0 down. Infact nearlly as funny as our "Just like watching West Brom" reply

Actually, Bunny hasn't changed his original post at all. Had he done so you'd see a "Last edit" note at the bottom of his post, like this one. He didn't mention the date of the Fans United game at all. Also, for the record, Bunny is not a moderator of this site.

I couldn't make the game sadly, and have been tied up all weekend til now (work commitments followed by the reopening of the Jolly Potters)
Whats with all the animosity? Brighton fans have every right to have a laugh and take the piss, would we have done owt different if the tables were turned?
Would we fuck.
Good luck to them. They're a team with a decent enough history who have been royally shafted, playing lower league footy at a ground unfit to house Leek Town.
I can happily accept that our football is 'basic', but it has been successful in that Pulis took over a team playing with its cock in the relegation zone of the championship and has taken us to a top 12 side in the strongest league in the world, I can take a bit of ribbing when we're knocking the ribs out of Liverpool , Arse etc al....
So nice one Brighton, genuine best of luck. Hope we see you replacing deadweight like Fulham in the prem soon.

Perhaps when the going gets tough you can have a Fans United game again which just happens to be on the crunch day of your season against fellow relegation fodder, as you did all those years ago. Rant over. Good riddance to the know-nowts. I did not read this far last time. The Fans United day was organised off the cuff, from a comment on our original fans website. The comment was from a 14 year old Plymouth fan stating that he would be keen to join our protests. The date was chosen as it was an international break weekend, so as to encourage as many people as possible. Absolutely nothing to do with defeating a relegation rival. At that point in time, results were secondary when it came to worrying about a matchday. To suggest that it was about winning on the day is ridiculous.

Or when we were cheering every Stoke pass We were chanting It's just like watching Brazil about us and then sarcastically substuting West Brom for Brazil for a laugh. Still unsure, can anyone enlighten me? Funny either way.

It was just like watching West Brom as the scoreline indicated!

I enjoyed the game and the banter on Saturday and had no problem with the Brighton fans who turned up in decent numbers - almost as many as we took to Highbury in the cup a few years back when we didn't sell out our allocation. I'm sure not every Brighton fan is an angel but then neither are some Stokies. Good luck to Brighton for the rest of the season - they deserve promotion and the chance to play Championship football in their shiney new stadium after years at the wasteland which is Withdean.
I think it might just be the wrong time of the month for Bunny - or is he too old for that sort of thing? ;D

For my part I really enjoyed the day out at Stoke, apart, obviously from the result.I sincerely hope Stoke make it to the final and all you top fans have a good day out too.
All the banter was good natured from what I saw,and at times bloody funny too, everyone I met was decent but passionate, and Stoke itself was a terrific place to visit,my Wife and I enjoyed it very much.

BR, I've come over a bit twattish on this thread, so I apologise, but I stand by every single word of my first post. WHAT,EVEN THE BIT YOU CHANGED WHEN YOU WERE PROVED TO BE A TOTAL TWAT? Er, I changed a couple of spellings, nothing at all about that Fans United match. I never said it was the last game at all. If you choose to think otherwise, go ahead. Spotty virgin? I'd take that over being a Brighton 'fan' any day of the week. Some of us remember that game v Hartlepool and won't forget what a c***s trick it was having it on the day of a crunch 6-pointer. I'm bored of you now mate as I'm sure you are of me. Bored of your get-nowhere football, and you know my feelings about your clueless support from a few days ago. Good luck next season if you go up. You know the rest.....

the touchy ones on here are obviously those that can't see through apost that isn't either sucking up to TP or having a pop at him.
It's a football fanzine ffs. The tendr ones on here obviously don't like the anti-Vale stuff that's in the mag, the anti-Yoonited stuff about Glazer etc?

TBH thought the Brighton fans at the game were sound...
Whilst the result was never in doubt , not least cos Stoke had too much for them in the vital first 30 minutes they continued backing their team , with nothing more than we'd dish out in similar circumstances.
As for their team , to their credit , despite the game being lost early doors they continued to try to play without resorting to yard dog football.
As for the 'fans united' game , I went that game , though with the Hartlepool fans behind the goal..perhaps I got the wrong idea of the day , or wasn't entirely comfortable with it ..I'm a bit of a maverick like that.
All the best to Brighton , not least because of their ideas for the new ground especially their plans for real ale..take note Stoke...

We're the precious ones? This thread would suggest that a few Stoke fans can't take a bit of ribbing. I am actually amazed that they 'behaved' in a way to try and disrespect Stoke when they had been taught a footballing lesson Funny thing is, Poyet will fuck off as soon as a Premier League club offers him a job and less than 10000 will be rattling around their new stadium once the novelty has worn off. What a shame that perhaps a few hundered utter tools should make such an impression - Im sure they have some decent supporters who actually appreciate what is required to go from League one to the Premier. I think most of us do realise that Poyet will move on eventually. He seems quite happy at present and settled. Two of his good friends (Zola and Di Matteo) have had their fingers burnt, so I would imagine he would be cautious of moving on at the moment. I realise that words mean very little in football, but he has stated that it would take something 'out of this world' to persuade him to move on at present (I'm guessing Uruguay/Chelsea/Zaragoza). We shall enjoy the ride for the time being. As for 10,000 rattling about when the going gets tough. We haven't even moved in yet! Besides, you've had a 28,000 capacity stadium for 14 seasons? Average attendances would suggest you struggled to half fill it and have only justified the capacity in recent years (when you were promoted to the Premier League). Don't forget where you came from in the last few years. I can't believe there are 23 worse teams in the 3rd Division. Crawley looked miles better against ManUre. If Brighton are promoted, they will be lucky to reach 10 points next season. Amazingly, we were beaten by a better team with better players. You do realise that promotion tends to bring in further income and the management strengthen where they deem necessary. I would imagine that we would purchase some new players if we were to gain promotion. You would be stupid not to do so. It would be safe to say that there are 23 teams worse than us in League One, if we finish top, but there are plenty of matches left. Besides, I don't think it is sensible to judge a team on just one match. If Crawley played like they did against Man Utd every game, then they would be clear at the top of the Blue Square Prem. As for the comment about being your easiest game for 30 years. You were clearly not at Withdean to see Adam Rooney bag a hattrick. We didn't do ourselves justice in the first half and by the time the second went in, it was too late to turn things around. Gutted we will not be in the hat for the quarters, but we do have more important things to worry about at the moment. I do think the comment about being stuck in the middle of the EPL is a valid one. The most exciting seasons are surely when you are involved in a promotion/title race or fighting off relegation. Anyway... Good luck with the rest of the season. I believe that is eight wins on the trot vs the Barcelona of League One. Great post Thank God somebody on here has a sense of perspective Some Stoke fans need to get their heads out of their arses and stop taking themselves so fucking seriously....

I live near Brighton and work in a school in the area. As such, I took my mate and his son (Brighton season ticket holders) for their first trip to the Brit. I didn't see Brighton fans being idiots (was sat in JSU). I did hear many of them having a laugh. Speaking to my mate afterwards his view was the "Pass" stuff was banter in the same way that Stokies saw the "homophobic stuff" as banter, last time we were at the Withdean. So, I am not going to condemn Brighton fans for their conduct. However I will condemn the Stoke Chavs who tried to cause trouble for my mate and his son as they left the away end to try and get back to the car in the powerleague car park. I dread to think how some our idiots would have responded if we went 3-0 down. I am just relieved that when I go back to work next week that the kids that I teach wont be able to give it large about the result. They can go on about as many "passes" as they like, coz I, unlike them will be going to a quarter final.

We came up and had a grand day out,the journey was easy-even the Aston Freeway-we got to Stoke, parked up at the cricket club and straight into the Power League for a few beers and banter with the locals. The place was rammed full of us and locals all wondering why the plod bothered showing their faces. Great stadium compared to the ones we are used to although I hold a soft spot for the Peterborough away TERRACE, and your fans were loud enough at times. We saw the team Gus had picked and realised(like against Woking earlier)his heart was not in it so we made the most of it and gave our team the support it deserved(crap fans go home when 3 down-did you see the "best fans in the world"leave when Arsenal went 3 up They didn't deserve to be there for the 4-4) we took the piss out of you-we took the piss out of us,we call it banter we call it having fun. Sorry if some on here were upset by it but those Stoke I spoke to after the game enjoyed their day and our contribution to it. Supporting a football team can be fun if you let it. some on here should try it some time P.S. is bunnyscfc a sad spotty Virgin with no mates and a bad Acne problem? Good to see you lot enjoying themselves and not smashing the place up like might have happened with some. I'm never offended by what other fans sing as long as they're losing, that's fine by me. ;D Oh, by the way, as bunnyscfc is a grown man who really cares about what brand of plimsolls he wears, then maybe you can see why his behaviour is a little adolescent. I like the looks of your new place, been to Falmer a few times, good luck for the rest of this season, and next.
