Just managed to keep my interest going reading the MB thus far.
A team starting off with probs half the side not part of our first choice, substitute the lot at half time for some others who are further down the pecking order. NO THANX !!

..creditable-ish result...Capucho (if he'll be showing out for 'em) & Figo (obviously)...David Dickinson will equalise their opening goal...with a near-post header from a flick-on-header from a corner taken by Lewis Collins (dressed as the bloke from "Who Dares Wins" )...
Early in the second half, Bob Carolgees will turn in a knock-down from Stan Ogden from Corrie...he'll turn on a sixpence (eh?) and rifle a low shot giving the Portuguese keeper no chance.
With 2 minutes remaining, Riccardo Da Force from the K.L.F. will have a 25 yard drive re-tarmacked.
Their equaliser will come as a mix-up between our stalwart centre-halves Ben Kingsley and an ill-looking Peter Cook. David James (deputising for brother Sid) will let in a soft shot.
The fella who played "Gaffer" (name's just escaped me) will be sent off in injury time for violent felching.

So what my memory is a little clouded! I still remember it fondly anyway! so ner ner!!!! And at least I'm chuffed that someone else remember him! And whoever had the idea of him keep throwing his parking fines in the back was a genius! I predict 2-0 loss with Pauleta scoring both goals (if he plays). England don't seem to do that well in friendlies. I wonder why????? ???
