Mark -just for the record
I do not subscribe to hoofball
nor do I subscribe to the type of Euro crap we see in early rounds of some european cups
Nor do I subscribe to the distotrted crap we see on here, night after night about our team never passing - never playing football or ever being attractive on the eye at all.
Thats simply rubbish and you all know it
I DO subscribe to our team moving forward - improving - buying better footballers and securing our future in the premiership -something our manager and owners have achieved no matter what the negative saddos on here care to think or write
Sometimes its two steps forwards and one back with Pulis (e.g the sale of Tuncay) but Im with Pulis and Im confident he's learning too and will get it right over time.
He annoys the hell out of me too - but some on here and the total crap they write - actually believing it too, definitely annoy me even more.
Iwant more and better football too and sometimes you have to put a distorted opposite view in to try and balance some of the totally lopsided feckers arguments out there
some very distorted nasty people about that supposedly follow this club -thats for sure too !

For the last fucking time, nobody has ever said that they want us to play tip-tip shit football. There is a middle ground between hoofing and pansying about with the ball - this is what people are wanting more of. I won't hide the fact that I'd expect a little bit better when we've spent the money that we have on players. Why is this so difficult for some posters to understand? Somebody show me where anybody has said we want to play carpet football all the pissing time?
Good luck. Because nobody has and it's making you look (more) stupid.

Surely the whole league, apart from us, don't play this tippy-tappy carpet crap though? For good or ill, it's us who are out of step with every other team (except maybe Blackburn, and whether that'll change post-Allardyce, who knows?) Passes Arsenal 10197 Chelsea 9754 Man City 9518 Man United 9506 Fulham 8331 Liverpool 8248 Tottenham 7868 Blackpool 7362 Wigan 7348 Everton 7137 West Brom 6831 Newcastle 6826 Aston Villa 6509 Wolves 6327 West Ham 6217 Sunderland 6198 Birmingham 6067 Bolton 5434 Blackburn 4595 Stoke City 3847 That's scary stuff!! I've always considered the measure of a footballer to be his ability to pass the ball. Gulp! It's not scary at all, Mart. In fact, it's quite re-assuring if you look at it this way: If you take out the "big six" clubs of ManU, Arsenal, ManC, Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool, who can attract the very, very top players, then the next section of teams that look the most secure in the league are Sunderland, Blackburn, Bolton and ourselves. Those four teams make up 4 of the 5 most direct sides in the league. The only exception, at present, is the Blues, who of course did quite well last year, but struggle to score and have fixtures to catch up this term. The supposed, "play the game the right way" teams, like West Ham, The Baggies and Wigan, are languishing towards the bottom of that league, as well as the league table proper. I would even argue that Blackpool's star, this season's flavour, is beginning to fall in both tables, too, as they've lost 6 out of the last 7 (?), or something like that. Do the stats in that table say that those sides are more direct than people make out? Or are they just not good enough at playing "the right way", so they're getting dominated in lots of games. The moral of those stats for me is: If you want to take on the big boys you should not try to beat them at their own game. Be careful what you wish for Stokies

It is not about extremes - a mixture of direct and some tip tap would be nice - mix it up so you are not one dimensional, be it tip tap or hoof - nowt wrong with a bit of both It is not black and white so why paint it like that - it will do your blood pressure no good ya know Listen to sufolk, folks. Not black, not white. C.O.M.B.I.N.A.T.I.O.N M.I.X.T.U.R.E. Ok?

those passing figures make shocking reading, fmagic. why will he not buy a decent midfield player? the team would be far better with one. i think we would win far more games with one than without. i believe that we've got lucky in quite a few games this season. o.k. the league position looks good, but we've got a tasty run in imho. i for one have not enjoyed this season (was hoping for better). maybe it's true, a leopard can't change it's spots.

back to the liverpool game. i was on holiday, but was delighted with the result. let us not get too carried away with that result because at the time liverpool were going through a bad spell, with what i believe was one of their worst squads in living memory( and i go back to the sixties). looking at the away game against them tonight the teams look fairly evenly matched( lets see what happens, eh!).
