West Brazil's defeat yesterday proved that the most basic of things in football you simply need to score more than your opponents. Obvious!
That said, I feel the gulf between the Championship and the Premiership is evident in games like that yesterday and our draw against Newcastle (and maybe the defeat away). The contradiction is Barnsley's FA Cup run this year but I have always thought when Stoke play teams from the Premiership we always seem to fail because we don't either take the few chances we get or simply don't cretae enough of them to try to take. I thought West Brazil suffered from that slightly and paid the price for it!
Stoke's team, West Brzail's team, Watford's team and any other team in the top 6 of the Championship could very much compete with most teams in the Premiership but will always lose out because their goal scoring is more superior than ours. Derby's promotion last season was way too early by a few seasons and it has shown. During this season they have lost simply due to the lack of chances created (and a rubbish defense) so if we are to get promoted we must ensure we create plenty chances - its what we have lacked over the last few weeks.
A full strength team tomorrow night should do the business and a win 'could' put one foot into the Premiership, in my opinion.

Though in fairness not a great deal wrong with Koran's shot on another occasion may have bust the net and the chances missed by Pompey were as woeful as any Championship team.

Althoug scoring generally wins you games don't you feel it's a little bit unfair to apply this, that generally applies to Championship clubs to WBA, as the are not just an ordinary Championship club. I think they desrve extra points for their beautiful attacking play and it's still beyond me how a manager that ugly can create a team playing such beautiful football.
