Just thought i'd come on here and post about the final i went to last night at Aldershot. I was in the away end, following Rushden Diamonds (local team). Away fans were let in for free as a goodwill gesture. It was a cracking game finishing 3-3 after extra time, aldershot won on penalties. What stood out the most though was the never say die attitude of the rushden players which remiinded me of stoke this season. They went 1-0 down and equalised 2 mins later. They went 3-1 down in the first half of extra time and pulled it back to 3-3. all of this against top of the league. also there were 2 awful penalty decisions in the game, yet not 1 player from either side protested, they accepted the referees decision as final. Both teams were a credit to football last night and it just puts things into perspective with the ashley coles of this world turning their backs on referees when being spoken to, thinking they are above the game, it was refreshing to see sportsmanship on a pitch.
