'This will aid our promotion push no end' As will constant Port Vale and Superman posts Cheers ben- enjoy watching the MLS, not the greatest standard but hey. Been watching pretty much since it started, missed the game on TV earlier. The enthusiasm of the crowd appeals to me as well, can say all you want re the USA and football but they do enjoy the games those that attend. Nice one

I watched Galaxy get battered 4-0 at Colorado Rapids last weekend, and was impressed with the football played by a young, largely homegrown Rapids team. The game was played at a good pace, with plenty of physical challenges and an emphasis on quick counter-attacking football. The game is moving forward with great strides over here, and the influx of foriegn players seems to be inspiring the home grown players to raise their game. The Americans are nothing if not massively competitive, and with the media spotlight falling on the game here more than ever before, a new generation of kids are desperate to prove their ability to the rest of the footballing world. I'm going to the DC United game v Toronto on Saturday which will be a sellout, as are most DC home games regardless of the opposition. The MLS might not be anywhere near the major European Leagues in terms of ability just yet, but the enthusiasm for the game from both players and fans is refreshing, and deserves the the respect of the wider footballing world as it continues to improve.
