TONY Pulis has thrown a rare olive branch towards Neil Warnock by way of a peace offering before Monday?s head-to-head at the Britannia Stadium.
Pulis, who gave his players the day off today ahead of training tomorrow and Sunday, has acknowledged Warnock?s achievement in transforming Palace from bottom three to potential top six inside six months.
?Neil has done well,? said Pulis, ?and now they are just outside the play-offs with everything to play for.
?I think he lost his first three or four games, but he?s turned it around because he?s a good manager.?
He believes Warnock has also exploited a good crop of youngsters emerging just in time to help the much-travelled Palace boss.
?I remember going to Crystal Palace a couple of years ago and seeing our youth team lose four or five,? he recalled.
?Neil might just have found himself at the club at the right time in respect of the youngsters coming through.?
Pulis watched Leon Cort closely on his return to training yesterday after a short lay off to rest a calf strain.
He admits he has a dilemma on deciding between Cort and Ryan Shawcross, who is back from a two-match ban, for the berth alongside Chris Riggott at centre-half.
?Ryan is champing at the bit and Leon is keen to play against his old club,? admitted Pulis. ?For me, though, what a nice problem to have.?
Pulis intends watching Watford at home to Coventry after training tomorrow to check on the Sky Blues ahead of Stoke?s visit to the Ricoh Arena in eight days.

Good bit of PR there by Pulis, diverting the media attention to the opposition hence reducing the pressure on our lads.

Sounds like media training has taken place, at long last. All on one agenda now.
