Ooooerr, Surely.? Its enough to put the 'shits' up some Premiership teams never mind the Championship teams. I was just wondering if Sidibe will still be recalled at some point and under what circumstances if any .? Your thoughts,>?

I agree totally - Mama will be on bench & will come on if we need to change style of play.

I wouldn't take either off ,unless injury forced this to happen.(Or we 5-0 up at half time)
Every game we play now should be looked upon as a 'must win' idealogy.

"Every game we play now should be looked upon as a 'must win' idealogy."
Have to disagree, mumf.
Every game we play now MUST be looked upon with a 'must win' attitude. "Should" implies that something is desirable but not essential. I am sure you would agree that "must win" is essential.

Surely has to start with those two, we all know it but then again second guessing TP is a job and a half! Don't be suprised if Cressie or Mama turn up in the starting 11! Can't wait to see Ric and Shola with Pearson and Lawro in the midfield, we could be in for a treat and that would really get us going again. Roll on Monday ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Go on Tone you know it makes sense.

I think pulis is tactically inept, HOWEVER, before the smiting commences, think he's great at motivating, and good in the transfer market, which is how we've got here today.

Could this potentialy be the fastest/biggest handful of a front 2 we've ever had? As a centre half I wouldn't be happy- two big, muscley, fast and skilful strikers part battering ram, part inventive. If one goes off, Mama comes on to wear you out a bit more!

As I said on another thread, I thought that Mama looked very effective coming on as a sub last season when we were playing with Fuller & Parkin up front. I don't think that any defenders would relish having to play against a freshh Mama for the last 20 mins of a game.

The only problem with those two together is that they are similar - both like to run with the ball
Ameobi didn't appear to be the type to set up Ricardo
Could be Ricardo will start on the bench after his jaunt to his homeland
last Saturday was Cressies best game for a long time - so maybe he will start again?

Got to disagree Paul. I don't think Saturday was Cressy's best game by a long way. He had loads of space thanks to Ameobi being marked by three defenders and he had loads of chances and half chances thanks to a greatly improved midfield but he did very little with the chances and the possession he had. A good goal (not a simple deflection as some have said) but a lot of missed opportunities including one of the worst attempts at a header he will ever have.
He could start on Monday with Fuller coming on as sub but, if he does start, he can count himself lucky to get the second chance. Fuller may be similar to Ameobi in style but that isn't to say that they can't play well together. Both seem to need several defenders to stop them and with both on the pitch, if they get their act together, hopefully Palace will not have enough defenders to cope.
I agree with what others have said about Mama. If he comes on as a sub late in the game then he could be very useful - both as a fresh pair of legs and a big physical presence and as a hold up player. A fresh Mama should be a handful for a tired defence towards the end of a game.

John
Yes Cresswell did miss chances but at least he was getting there
His most positive contribution for a good while for me - though he has been very poor previously

What excites me about Monday's game Paul is that I think whichever striker is paired with Ameobi is going to get plenty of chances. Ameobi was taking three men to mark him everytime he got near the box and if our other striker (be it Fuller, Cressy, Bothroyd or even Parkin) can't capitalise on that then we won't deserve to go up. Both Lawrence and Pearson should also find that they get chances as well. On paper our front 6 is the strongest we have had for many years - TP's job is to translate this stong lineup into a goalscoring oone.

Should be a good match and it is one we have to win to lift our charge towards the end of the season - pity its on the box

Fornside..I agree with your comments, the only problem is that they are both quite greedy types of players and single minded in their approach to goal scoring. If the responsiblities can be shared then we can only benefit from this.
As regards to the game being screened live, well to be honest once again this could be a good thing, especially if in the case of Ameobi he then sees this as an opportunity to put himself in the shop window after his recent spell at Newcastle is considered. Fuller not to be out done could also be keen to prove that he is not a 'bit part' player in our promotion campaign.
Theres one thing for sure...It is a must win game for us..a draw will clearly not do.I'm sure that Pulis will definitely going for it, but a lot will now depend on the relationship that is developed between the front two. They both like to impress and lets hope that in front of the cameras that this then provides a suitable stage worthy of their undoubted talents.
