Only two players struggled tonight Collins and Delap . It happens to often with Collins ,Delaps a spent force especially away from home.

That was Rory's fourth game in ten days.
Unless anyone's forgotten, the fella is nearly 35 and ran himself into the ground just three days ago against Everton.
It was madness to start him.

I thought Etherington and Kenwynne were poor tonight mate....both are usually excellent in my book but not tonight!!.....We are just unable to string 4 passes together without panicking and conceded posossion far too easily

100% agree. Rory's throws up that bank were never going to work and to see him trying to keep pace with Nani and Evra was hard to watch. Collins wants dropping. I'd give Higgy a run out on Saturday and see how he shapes up at left back.

Tuncay was poor, Collins was dreadful, Wilson is not what we need, Ethers looked unfit, JP is going downhill faster than a runaway truck.
Apart from that, everyone else had something about their performance to be commended, particularly Wilko, Ryan and Huth.

Two players out of position. Positions that we're trying to strengthen. One step at a time eh? Good performance, could do better, will do better in the future. Bring on Bolton. We have a score to settle. Pulis is starting to get the balance spot on.

Wilson played well march and thats a harsh assesment of Pennant don't you think.

Delap is a spent force at home for any top division club imo, it;s only because we are so shocking in that position that people think he's half decent. The day we sign a CM player that is decent will be the day people realise that Delap was a stop gap.

Honestly March?....Tuncay was poor?....I can take somebody having an opinion but to call him poor is just....well...bollocks tbh

He gave the ball away for the first goal and barely touched the ball for the final 30mins. 20 minute cameos like Saturday are great, but this was 90 minutes of disinterest. I'm really worried about Pennant. Is he injured, because he has stopped performing to his best.

We'll see how important he has been to our progression, in CM, he is a lot more consistent than some idiots like yourself would have people believe. You don't have 4 year stopgaps. Delap deserves a lot more credit, players like Delap are what make this club. He will be replaced and he will need to be soon, but he's had a good season and is a lot more than just his throw. Players like Delap are what are recent success has been built around. He's only a spent force on the wing.

I would also start with Tuncay and Walters up front with Fuller and Jones on the bench.

I could just understand him starting in the middle. Whilst he's old, he's exceptionally fit, even when compared to the rest of our squad. Starting on the wing to mark Evra, though, it just didn't make much sense. He's never offered us anything on the right wing. We'd have been better with Delap in the middle and Walters* on the right if we just wanted somebody to track back a lot. *Yes, I do appreciate that Walters isn't very good.

Chrst on a bike, why on earth would anyone want to start with this pairing when you have Fuller and Jones available.
As things stand Walters would be my 5th choice striker when Mama is back. He may be an option from the bench on either the right or up front, but not starting.

Collins was woeful, KJ looked disinterested as he has for most the Season, no doubt of his value to the squad but he's just a Premier version of Mama to me.
I thought Tuncay and Wilko were the shining lights for me, this Tunny hating is strange at the least

Delap deserves a lot of credit for what he has done for us, notably in the first season when the throw was unstoppable. It is also not his fault that he is hung out to dry on the wing. However, people like you are looking through rose tinted specs if you see an effective CM in Rory. He influences the game so little outside of the throw that he may as well not be on. I agree at home against brittle defences, the throw, and therefore Rory have a role to play but beyond that his days are numbered.

As has Whitehead. He needs replacing, but I wouldn't be gutted if we didn't get anyone in until the summer in that position. I think LB is our main priority.

March
Tuncay gave the ball away for the first goal because the movement ahead of him was absolutely zero. The guy is not a miracle worker. For 8 million quid id want more from Jones than to wi na few flick ons. We paid 50k for Mama to do the same job.

Look at the replay Look at Tunny's reaction after the ball is intercepted, he is fuming at no movement whatsoever. Not tuncays fault.
