Mark Crossley, Paul Warhurst and Ade Akinbiyi. A much needed spine when we were spineless. Without them we would be a Division 1 (old 3rd Div) outfit. But I would not take any of them back now!! Don't underestimate the job Mark Williams did for us in that end of season run too (on loan from Wimbledon). Best- Mark Crossley Worst- Michael Ricketts

I thought Mark Walters looked good for us, Crossley and Taggs were strategically giants for us, and saved us from relegation, hopefully one of the current crop can step up to the plate and take us the other way this year!

What about Gunnlaugson? Not necessarily the best but quality none the less

Got to be Crossley, closly followed by Taggart
Think Gunnlaugsson worth a mention, thought he was a good player
Worst has to be Ricketts, he was woeful

There is a definitive answer to this question and it's Crossley by an absolute fucking mile!

Yea the signings of Crossley, Mark Williams, Warhurst & Ade basically sorted us and made sure we survived. But would not have em back now.
Hopefully Shola, Pearson, Riggott & Nash have to same effect - but this time in taking us up.

I don’t recall Warhurst having that much of influence on things, other than providing a good home for Neville Southall’s old shorts.

...and scoring against Rotherham.
But no, apart from that he was pretty pants!

;D he scored against Rotherham & someone else i think & he was a calming influence in midfield with James O'Connor, especially with Gunnarsson being injured towards end of the season

I thought Brightwell was ok. Not brilliant but not too bad - certainly not in the Ricketts or Whitely mould.
After a moderate start I thought Skoko was excellent towards the end of his spell here. The best loan for me has to be Crossley - I have no doubt that we would have been relegated if we hadn't signed him. I was gutted we didn't make it a permanent signing that summer -even though Simo did well when he arrived.
