Alan Biley was a good loan - as was Steino. I seem to recall Harry Dowd playing for us in the late 60s. He was a decent keeper. Can't remember whether it was a loan though.
Worst for me was Hans Segers, but there have been too many to shudder over.

Stein did little when on loan but the fact it may have led to him sign permanently obviously a huge plus
Crossley great shout- save v Wimbledon at 2-1 up as good as have seen, was fantastic
Worst- so many. Alan Rodgers, Whitley, Smart of couse above. So many poor keepers- Horne springs to mind

Patrik Berger was the best in recent times. What a pity he was left to warm the bench, good enough for Villa in the prem but not good enough for Pulis. Worst has to be Southall so fat he could hardly get back up if he went down for a save.

Mark Crossley, Paul Warhurst and Ade Akinbiyi. A much needed spine when we were spineless. Without them we would be a Division 1 (old 3rd Div) outfit. But I would not take any of them back now!!
