We've definitely played more to feet tonight, probably with Wilson in the side. I tend to agree although theres still too much space between Defence/Midfield and attack. Also been guilty of humping a long ball when there has been a simple short pass on a few times. |

KJ seems the easy option for some to moan about but he just doesnt get any decent service Exactly! Why not blame Delaps lack of crossing the ball into the box? Why not blame Midfield for no through balls? Why not blame Matty not being fit enough to play? |

Decent hard working performance but no threat whatsoever. Shame about the goal as we've looked pretty comfortable till then. If I'm honest I think we're paying them too much respect. Yes they're a good side but bar Berbatov and Nani they're not the team of stars they were 5/6 years ago.
I don't know what it is but our shooting and crossing this year with a few exceptions has been shocking. If we can get them to the hour still 1 behind we can look at bringing Ric and JP on and having a real go. I'd rather lose 5-2 than 1-0. 2-0 and going out with a whimper.

Not a terrible half but we haven't really threatened. Wilson made us look a bit of a classier side but i was furious with him when he had that shot when matty was in acres of space on the right, also seems prone to getting caught on the ball though.
With delap's throws not working on this bank i think we need to get pennant on, he's been one of our best at keeping the ball in the other half this season. Hopefully if we get to 60 mins 1-0 then TP will throw him on.

If we can keep the score down to 1-0 after about 80 minutes, then start to attack them, I think they will sit back on it. We also need to put Tuncay in the midfield. Begovic

I think EG should be given a chance in this match. We have shown a few times that its the balls to feet that will unlock Man U (if at all!)...the long balls are getting us nowhere and never will at Old Trafford.
Only thing is, i'm not sure who I would bring EG on for...Delap maybe? then stick Tuncay out wide...we haven't got a lot to lose really.

The "service" kenwyne is getting is abysmal. Just long balls up front and he is too isolated - even if he can get near the ball he can't hold it long enough to bring in other players.
We're standing off them too much - we need to get stuck in and let them know we're around, and have a real go at them.
Otherwise it's going to be yet another visit to O.T. where we just roll over.
Oh and Danny Collins is absolutely useless - if Tone didn't really think we needed a left back before tonight, then he sure as hell should do now.

Yeh but it isn't just Collins is it? All prem defenders now stand off players to allow the cross to come in. I hate it in every game is see in the prem. It is for fear of being skinned instead, that's all i can put it down to.
All in all tonight is like i said it would be. It's what's known in the trade as a roll over belly tickle with pike.
