This Season ! I am usually the eternal Pessemist when it comes to Stoke but I honestly think we'll remain unbeaten till the end of the regular Season. However I don't think we'll take max points I reckon it will be 3 wins and 2 draws or maybe even 2 wins and 3 draws Whether this will be enough only time will tell ??? ??? ???

I agree. I feel it will be 3 wins, 2 draws and it will very, very, very tight!

3 wins and 2 draws will almost definitely take us up in my opinion.
2 wins and 3 draws could still take us, I feel.

I can see us making the playoffs.
Heart wrenching stuff, but fucking brilliant if we go on to win at Wembley!

We all know it's going to be a last day of the season type thing again. We just don't do it the easy way, last season for instance. Any luck the squad will be fired up for the tail-end, with Riccy especially, hungry for goals. It's always a rollercoaster ride with Stoke, but to be honest guys, have we ever known it any other way?
GOARNNNN YOU RIP-ROARING POTTERS!!

Rather not go down the Wembley route. We need to get there without being involved in the play offs!

My UNBIASED predictions are; Palace-draw. Very good team away from home, clone of ourselves in many respects. coventry-draw- Frustrating one this, i think they will play well, and we will nick a point. Bristol - win- Colchester-win Leicester-Win Thats's 11 points and will almost certainly take us up, fingers crossed

My results were -
Palace - Win Coventry - Draw Bristol - Draw Col Ewe - Defeat Leicester - Win
That's 8 points. I get us level on points with WBA for second spot on 77, with Brizzle top with 81 and 'ull and Watford on 74.
All this bollocks about needing 4 wins is, well, bollocks.

Or...
3 wins 2 defeats

I am the eternal optimist when it comes to Stoke, but I'll give you this thought.
IF Ricci comes back really firing, and decides he wants to play with Shola, we could be in for fireworks. Add the impressive Pearson, a fresher Liam and Glen Whelan playing a bit higher up the pitch because we are attacking more, and there is no reason why we can't remain unbeaten, winning at least 4 out of the 5 left.
But if it doesn't gel with Fuller and Ameobi, and Ricci goes into a bit of a strop, we could struggle to find the goals we need to fire us into the Prem.
I think its important that Stoke score first and get on top in these last few games, and this new partnership is the key.
Maybe it all depends on that wonderful but unpredictable talent, Ricardo Fuller.

FFS your original post you had us for 2 wins, 2 draws and one defeat. Thi put us level in 2nd spot on 77 points with WBA. They have a far better goal difference than we do so it would mean the play offs for us. You then suggested we need either 2wins and 3 draws or 3 wins and 2 defeats. Make your mind up fella

"Maybe it all depends on that wonderful but unpredictable talent, Ricardo Fuller."
It will do. He will decide whether we go up or not. He is our talisman and he lifts the whole team.Even when he isn't playing that good.
I firmly believe that Fuller is going to be the difference, not ameobi, not Lawrence, not Pearson.
Come on Ric....

Before the Wendys' game thought we would get 4 wins and two draws from the last six games, with draws v the Wendys and at Cov. That would make our total 82 points, which should be enough for the top two I think.
I have no reason to change my mind now, especially with Fuller to come back to partner Ameobi and Liam to, hopefully, regain top form.
I have stayed off the board the last couple of days as the doom and gloom mongers had their say. Now we have all settled down again, we should see we are still in a great position with a good set of winable games to go.
I believe we will finish ahead of Brizzle if we beat them, Watford have shot their bolt, but the Baggies and Hull are a real concern.

If we win 3 and draw 2 we're up.
If we win 3, draw 1 and lose 1 it is more than likely we're up (providing we don't lose to Bristol C.)
If we win 3 and draw 2 we're 'in with a a shout', likewise 2 wins, 3 draws.
Anything better than 3 wins and 2 draws will obviously result in us going up.
Bear in mind Brizzle, top o' the league, average 1.71 points a game, over 5 games working out at 8.5 points.

Assuming Tony plays them both...

Make your mind up fella Calm down George. The first post was my predictions. You then incorrectly stated that we would need 4 wins to 'avoid the play-offs'. The point made in my original post was that with 8 points we would have lost out of goal difference, therefore we don't 'need' to win 4 matches as many people seem to think.

After paying more than a thousand pounds a minute for Ameobi's time for the rest of the season (6 games = 540 minutes), I don't think Pulis would dare not play him from the start of each game!!
As for Fuller, he will be so desperate to play, and we so desperately need him, that Tone will just wind him up and watch him go. ;D

As mentioned before Lawrence, Pearson, Fuller and Ameobi if that does not represent a decent enough forward line to cause mayhem then I don't know what else we could do I am sure we have the tools there to finish the job off.
