A mate of mine who has very close connections at Derby told me last night that if we go up, we will sign Kenny Miller. He was right about Griff and Pearson so I have no reason to doubt him. And NO, this is not an April fool thing!
What do we think? Good or bad signing?

Nah, the guy is a complete jinx, isn't really Premiership class. He has sent down the Dingles and the Rams. Really could get better than him I believe. I'd have Fuller +1 anyday. Besides Im sure that is a Scottish club that Miller hasn't played for yet who he will no doubt join in the summer.
Bad signing IMO

I rather like Miller. I wouldn't condemn any player just because he played in a relegated side. If we went down that road we wouldn't have signed Pearson on loan and I thought he was the best player on the pitch on Saturday. If that was him with a groin strain and no training for 2 weeks I can't wait to see him when he is 100% fit.
Whether TP sees Miller as the sort of striker he needs, I have no idea.

I just think we could get better. Is Miller really a prolific striker? is he going to score us the goals to keep us up? Could he work with Fuller? I don't know. I heard a rumour that TP wanted him and Higgy if we go up, but I honestly think we could do better, i.e., if Fulham go down which will probably happen, why not make a move for Kamara? apparently he could be available in the Summer.

I agree that Kamara looks a better striker than Miller. I have no idea what sort of budget TP is ging to have to work with next year. So whether we'll get broderline Premiership players or a few surprises, I have no idea.
I reckon TP will pull a few rabbits out of the hat - again. Perason wasn't on my radar but obviously appealed to TP and after Saturday's performance I can see why.

I thinks its better to wait and see where we end up first before getting giddy about what our budget in the Prem will be and what players TP will be targetting.

Agree, we mustn't tempt fate but we do have to plan for any eventuality or we might just end up like Derby.

I know we're FAR from counting chickens, and it could all go pear-shaped - but since we're talking about it....
How close to our potential Premier League starting XI is
Nash Wilkinson-Riggott/Cort-Shawcross-Griffin Lawrence-Whelan-Diao/Delap-Pearson Fuller-Ameobi
A lot of that XI are either recent, expensive signings on BIG and long contracts or loans clearly bought by this manager with the intention of longer deals if we go up.
I'm not saying it's a team that could survive in the Premier - far from it.
You can see potentially a couple of obvious gaps, but it'd be interesting to see how many would be quickly jettisoned if we actually went up.
But it's obvious we've got a once-in-a blue-moon shot at the Premier in this next 5 games with this XI open to us in the position we are!
