Victoria Ground around 1995-96 i think. We beat Charlton 3-2 - Paul Peschisolido was playing and I loved him. Still got a Pesch poster knocking around somewhere!

It was Feb.1957 when Neville(Tim)Coleman scored 7 in Stokes 8 -0 against Lincoln.I can't remember whether it was because the pitch was waterlogged or it was frozen but it was thought at the time the game shouldn't have been played or it should have been abandoned at half time.
The game on 16th September 1959 Stoke beat Lincoln 6 - 1.Bentley scored 2,Dennis Wilshaw 3, and Cunliffe 1.

1977 v Mansfield Town, I went with my mate and his mum & step dad. I was 12. An amazing day, Mansfield's first ever game in division 2 (championship). We were the big boys who were expected to bounce straight back into the top division. The town was overrun with Stokies and there was mayhem & chaos all over the place. I destinctly remember a mob of Stokies swaggering down through the main part of town with this big bloke in a kilt flashing his wears to all and sundry. I had my silk Stoke scarf tied around my wrist, as we did then, and this bloke in the kilt from the front of the mob came straight up to me, picked me up and swung me around, laughing his head off ! The kick off was delayed for ages (about half an hour) because the Stoke fans invaded the pitch and started to have a bit of argy bargy with the police. Horses on the pitch charging about ..... mayhem ! The game itself was predictable............ we went 2 - 0 down (que more rioting) before Alec Lyndsay scored a conselation penalty in the last few minutes. More chaos and mayhem on the way back to the car, but I was hooked !

I can't remember the exact game, however I remember it was in the 2001/02 season ( because I'm only a young'un) and I was about 6. I may have gone 1 or 2 before that but that is the season I remember I started going. I Also remember going to the playoff final in Cardiff in 2002.

1983 stoke 0 Watford 4
I was gutted. Spent many years wanting to go and when I eventually did they were poor.
Can't believe I went back.
I recall Luther Blisset and John Barnes having fantastic games and tearing us apart.

Here's an unusual one - but true.
Hong Kong around 1966. The Potters won (I can't remember the score).
There were about 50 Stoke fans there - all obviously living in HK at the time.
There used to be a CSOS "listening" station at Cheadle - I'm guessing that it was the folk from there, serving in HK, that turned up.
That was my first live view of the potters.

March 67, 3-0 at home to Sunderland. Stood at front of Stoke End next to Boothen paddock. I think it cost 3/- (15p) to get in. Hooked.

Ipswich at home March '75. Taken by my Aunt/Uncle who were stewards in the Butler Street stand for my 8th birthday treat - we lost!
Second game was the one played at the Vale when the roof blew off - against M'boro - we won 1-0 and we scored near the end with a diving header just inside the post (don't know who scored) but I had a great view right behind the goal.

7th April 1969 0-0 v Liverpool. I was 10 and taken by my aunt and uncle from Yorkshire (Dad didn't do footie) and had to wait a few years to be able to go with mates when old enough.
Strangely biggest thing for me was walking up the steps and seeing everything in colour, only ever seen football on black and white tv before that!

28th April 1965. My Dad took me into the Stoke End for the Stanley Matthews Xl v World Stars. Probably the only time in our Club history that so many big name internationals appeared at a Stoke match. Don't remember too much about it. But, I still have the match programme that a few of the players autographed.

With my Dad, March 83 when we beat Man Utd 1 nil. Sat in the Butler. On my own, Sept (ish) 87, Ipswich at home. Think it was 2 all with Zico scoring a beauty.

Mine was about 1976. Home game against Wolves. Stood in Boothen End - bit of a fight erupted in front and got home to read in the Sentinel that a stokie had been knived by a dickhead from Wolves. Didn't put me off and went on to be a season ticket holder for years during the Alan Durban era; will never forget the 1-0 away to Notts County that took us up, 87th minute I believe. Great memories. Cheers

The 5-0 win over Arsenal in 1970-71, I was 7 and thought it would be like that every game.Soon learned it wouldn't. There is something ridiculously cruel about me seeing possibly Stoke's finest ever performance (have we ever played Double winners off the park before or since)in my very first match, I'm still waiting to top that and realistically I always will be!

At home to Spurs in FA Cup replay in 1947, we won 1-0 thanks to a Matthews goal, this was an afternoon game as nobody had floodlights in those days
