Sorry, but I think we have, Hull and West Brom are going to go up auto, we will fail in the play offs.
Hope I'm wrong.
Yesterday was a real eye opener. 1st half OK and deserved our lead. Should have had another goal, maybe a penalty.
Sitting as deep as we did after 60 minutes was just asking for trouble. Why didn't we go for the jugular of a team on its arse. Why did Bothroyd pass to Ameobi with a goal there for the taking. I think our balance went when Tone took off Pearson, and our panic defending got worse.
Thought Griffin was abysmal again. Drop him and put Wilko at right back. Lets have some passion in that right back role. Look how well Wilko and Dicko played against the Newcastle hysterics.
Hope I'm made to look a right twat with my opinions and that a fitter Ameobi strikes up an instant partnership with Fuller starting against Palace.
Come on Tone. Get a grip and make me eat my words.

It is difficult to say at this stage of the season, whether we have blown it, we certainly could have made life a lot easier for ourselves. If we had just picked up a couple of wins extra out of previous 8 games, we would have been in pole position. We have 5 HUGE games, and are still in 2nd place (WBA's games in hand mean nothing until they win them.)
There is a new belief that from now on we have Fuller back, Ameobi paired with him (that was always the plan), Lawrence back after that ban, ShawX looking as hungry as ever, and if Pearson replicates that form he showed in the first half yesterday, he may well be the difference between those games we are drawing and winning.
The fixture list to me seems fairly kind (3 out of the 5 at home.) I thought that I would have felt angry for day's after the final whistle yesterdat, but today, I have a confident feeling that we will do it. The performance wasn't bad on the whole yesterday, and we are 5 games away from 'living the dream', the time for being depressed will be after May IF we don't go up, until then stay positive and BELIEVE!

Fuller is now back and I can see him forming a good partnership with Ameobi, well based on yesterday some of his touches from the goal kicks were magnificent. We have a strong team and we needed Ryan at the back yesterday as he seems more settled than the others. We just need to play like the first half yesterday and we will be fine. As many have said, promotion is now ours to throw away

I think we've blown it small style rather than big style, but it's personal opinion really.

Hull and West Brom are going to go up auto, we will fail in the play offs. Exactly what I've been thinking since FT yesterday. Haven't posted it because you tend to get lynched by the House Un-SCFC Activities Committee on here, but I think our form has just been too bad, for too long, for the same reasons. I know everyone else has been stuttering but yesterday that changed. In these last five or six games, two teams will take the bull by the horns and I just can't see it's going to be us. Our one hope IMO is Ricardo Fuller. If he comes back firing he can do it for us.

if we'd blown it we would be in the position we were this time last year, about 6 points off the play-offs with 6 games to go

We cant bury our heads in the sand though, the stats are clear, we have hot our traditional Christmas slump just at the wrong time, the new players, good though they are have to be welded into a team, and there aint the games to do it in. We just dont look like scoring goals or being able to defend teams out of the game, we dont look like snatching goals at the death Sunderland style, and ultimately, I just dont see us suddenly turning the corner now. I think we just have to hope we dont slip out of the play-offs. Then concentrate on regrouping for the play-off games and hope that we regain form for those. Its not doomsaying, its just looking at form and results of the last half a dozen games.

We don't lool like scoring goals? I thought we had plenty of chances to score goals on Saturday just did not finish them off and well that has been one of the main problems all season long.

All season I've been looking at form guides and taking comfort in them predicting we go up. Now they are predicting we don't, I've decided form goes out of the window in the last 5 games. ;D
I predict a strong finish by at least 3 of the top 5, and pray we are one of them, having blown our chance to take advantage of all the cockups our rivals have made. Even if we do hit form, we will need to wait till Leicester match to go up as surely there will be at least two rivals who decide they just might want to go up after all, actually.
