No, just a mistimed challenge .
Worthy of a yellow.

I was still far too 'down' to watch the Championship this morning but at the match i thought yellow was right.
The fact that seven or eight Wednesday players surrounded the ref like a gang of hysterical schoolgirls at every opportunity made some challenges appear worse than they were. The treatment on Lawro was very ott but we've got proper men playing for us and they didn't squeal cos we got fouled!

Given the current clampdown on tackling, and The Wendies' hysterical reaction to it, I wouldn't have been surprised if he'd walked. However IMHO it was just a late tackle - not high, studs-up or two-footed, so a yellow was about right.
Credit to the ref for not being bullied into giving a red. Having said that, looking at the penalty claim, maybe he just bottles controversial decisions.

It was a shocking tackle, both late and taking both the young lads legs away.
I'm not surprised by some of our players reactions to it as like I said, he is only a young lad who's just gotton into tghe first team in the last few months and performed well so is going to be protected by the older players.

It was a shocking tackle, both late and taking both the young lads legs away. Cut the hyperbole, Owlzat - The fact that it was late and took his legs away does not make it a "shocking tackle". High or two-footed and I'd have agreed with you, but this is a man's game, or have you forgotten that in Yorkshire? It was a poor tackle, deserving of a yellow. Nothing more. I'm not surprised by some of our players reactions to it as like I said, he is only a young lad who's just gotton into tghe first team in the last few months and performed well so is going to be protected by the older players. This wasn't the only occasion your lot were getting in the ref's face. Not too dissimilar in fact to their counterparts across the city during Colin's tenure.

Maybe it has something to do with the game at the Brittania when Shawcross took Jeffers out with a shocking challenge from behind too ?

Neither tackle was THAT bad owl, I thought you were supposed to be real men up Yorkshire, you're beginning to sound like those hysterical Barnsley boys. My three year old could tackle Franny Jeffers and snap him in two, he's long had an allergy to grass look at his injury record.

A red for me, it was just plain late and reckless and with some of the hair trigger refs lately he was fortunate. I'd have been fucking livid if an oppo player did that on one of ours and only got a yellow. We got lucky there!

It was a yellow card . It was late but not high . Dicko was trying to play the ball and mistimed it . The way the Wednesday players surrounded the referee led by Graham Greedy Crabanagh was laughable .

Yellow, but at the start of the season would have only been a foul. Credit to the referee for not jumping on the bandwagon.

No malice in it however to break somebodys leg you dont need malice, it was a very poor tackle. Yes this is a mans game but the player had that edge on Dicko and got lucky being able to play on. Any other day and it would of been a red card. How kav didnt get sent off I do not no.

Sheff Weds players went to town with the ref on every tackle we made - especially Kav
