Ric cant go on forever but he has been so important to the way we play. Who would the best similar replacement for him ,Rodagella maybe or even this Odenwinkie at baggies.it certainly has to be astriker who can run past a man. Thoughts?

I can't think of anyone in this country who could do it (not realistically).
Rodallega is probably the nearest we'd get if we're only shopping in the Premiership. That's why we'd be better off looking abroad, as I don't see what the fuss is all about with him.
Neither are as explosive as Ric, but I wonder whether TP would be interested in Doyle or Fletcher at Wolves, if they were to go down? Also, I thought that Obinna (sp) looked good for West Ham against us...that's the only time I've seen him though.
I wouldn't mind us having a look at John Carew as competition for the Mama-role with Kenwyn, but he certainly wouldn't be able to do Ric's job.

I dont think we will ever really replace him as you wont get a player with his ability for anything less the 20M and even at that im struggling to think of a player that an create the goals from nothing as he does. I think Rodders could fit in alongise KJ to form a good partnership though.

Gyan looks a simular player to Fuller if we were looking at the prem'.
Lukaku could be great when he's older.

Odemwinge is similar but he isn't that much younger than Ric so he wouldn't solve the problem for very long.

We have replacements for Fuller except they put 90 minutes of work in and not just a flashy 5, Fuller isn't irreplaceable and the club will move on when he goes.

Elmander. Finally showing the form that he's capable of. Big, strong, quick, skilful, good finisher and out of contract at the end of the season so get a cheeky bid in Jan for a few million TP!

Did that Christian Benitez, who was on loan at Brum, end up anywhere?
Brum fans were pretty miffed when they didn't take up the option to sign him even though his goalscoring stats were a bit shit.
And the year acclimatising to English football would be in the tank - and maybe he'd be available much cheaper than the package that was being touted.
He was pretty Fuller-like, although he was surprisingly small, although pretty bull-like Mini-Me to Ric's Dr Evil.
Just shows what a package you get with Fuller.
And there still has to be bags of potential in Daniel Sturridge that first team football would bring out - something you can't really see him ever getting at Chelsea.
When he first burst on the scene at Man City, he was touted as being the real deal.
Ryan Babel?

His finishing is pretty woeful, but then again Ric isn't exactly Gary Lineker in the box is he? I'd be delighted if we were looking at him.

Elmander. Finally showing the form that he's capable of. Big, strong, quick, skilful, good finisher and out of contract at the end of the season so get a cheeky bid in Jan for a few million TP! He's not much younger than Fuller is he? No one can replace him in terms of doing what he does, no matter how much you pay for a realistic target, he's totally unique and very under rated. There may be an obscure African player who can do a similiar job but good luck in finding him. ;D But as we change the way of playing we will have a side who doesn't rely on him - we've stepped up in that department this year in my opinion, i actually think we're able to win a game without Fuller in it which is a massive improvement upon the last few years where we would barely get past the half way line. We've got a unique style and our tactic was always smash it up in the corner for Fuller to chase, with either Lawrence or Ethers helping him out. But now we we're getting a bit more expansive with Jones,Tuncay/Pennant and Etherington also around so there's other options apart from smacking it towards Ric and hoping. Although we still fucking do it a lot. Rodellega's the man for me, or even N'Zogbia who i think is very similiar in terms of how good he is running with the ball, doubt he'd ever be tried in a more central role though. Or as i said you could just stuff the similiar players and just go for a very good striker who will do most of his work inside the area, leaving the players behind him to create the opportunities for him. It's arguably easier to replace a goalscorer who's always there to bang the ball in rather than a guy who's at the centre of everything going forward. So yeh, to answer your question - i'd agree with your best similiar replacement, but the best option would probably be to go down the other route and just get a natural striker who can finish moves off. Signing Pennant is vital though as he could be a great player for us in the next few seasons on the right. The guy who said Benitez - was terrific last year and that's a brilliant shout.

I really don't know but I do know one thing for certain- I will definitely miss Ricardo. We will probably find a good or prolific striker who scores goals but I doubt we'll ever sign anyone who scores the spectacular goals that ric does, or who gets the crowd on their feet like Ric does or who has the personaltiy traits Ric does. In that way he is totally irreplacable!
