By the sounds of the commentary he ran midfield. Dont think I heard Whelan mentioned in the second half. I blame both players and manager though as they not performing like they should.

just got back from the game - Kavanagh did not run the show at all - he did f*ck all. Whelan was solid in midfield for us. Our inability to finish and Griffins woeful tacking cost us the 3 points.

I was at the game and THE GREEDY twat had a pretty good game, but to be honest Sheff were not in it untill Pearson and Ameobi went off.

Thanks for that hutchstokie. I only listened on the radio but it sounded that way to me.

Did he fook , his delivery was shite, couldn't pass a ball, looked incredibly slow etc.
As a team , they looked poor.
One shot, one goal.

Did I dream the one that hit the bar after 15 minutes then or the one Nash fumbled as McAllister followed up and god knows how he didn't connect and put the ball in the back of the onion bag

Ok then. 3 shots. One goal. But can you count the deflection which hit the bar as a "shot". Fact is. Your going down... Great support btw, your fans didn't sing ONE song.

Well I can't remember Grant making too many saves and wasn't your goal a deflection too ? You'll find on your travels that most home support is very quiet but as most of you were probably experiencin your first away game of the season if not ever then you wouldn't know this ! Kav, didnt run the show. His passing was nothing better that cack. Loads of his passes going astray and out of play. But if you mean run the show by being a complete diving twat and trying to get out players booked and sent off, then i have to agree.

Not sure how often I've seen Kav play both for and against us and I've never really rated him. When hes on top form he can be very good but I've only seen him 'run the show' on seven or eight occasions. Today WASN'T one of them. Average at best

One thing i will say about Kav in his favour, is that after all the abuse he took during the game and there was lots, and yes i joined in too. He did turn to the Stoke fans at the end of the game and applaud us. Nice touch i thought.

Been at the game. My ass did Kav run the show unless you count passing sideways.
Nash cost us 3 points - kicking was shite all match.

My ass did Kav run the show unless you count passing sideways. My thoughts exactly. Everytime they had the ball, they gave it to Kav, but he did nowt with it. Lots of sideways balls, but not one telling pass that I can remember.

Did I dream the one that hit the bar after 15 minutes Interesting to see that one on the telly tomorrow. We all thought that came from a clear offside.

If passing one ball all day to the wrong colour shirt is an average game, then I wish to god that we had an average midfielder.
Songo was their best player all game (and one we should be keeping an eye on) but without the ammunition given to him by Kav he would have been anywhere near as effective.
I think many are blinded by their hatred of Kav, but undoubtedly he was a major influence on today's game. I abused him with the best of us, but he played well, would walk into our team, and did indeed applaud the Stokies as he left the pitch.

We had four clear cut chances and missed they had 3.
We got what we deserved for a lack of ambition, we should have continued pressing. For the first 65 minutes there was only one winner. For the last 28 thre was only one winner.
Typical bloomin Stoke. And on Kav, he didn't run the show, but he did a good job of reffing it.

I thought he was Wednesday's best player, his delivery from the corners they had was excellent, without him I think we'd have won!

I'm a big fan of kav's, and wasn't booing him yesterday, albeit i was in the minority. That said Whelan is a beter player by far than Kav is now. The difference is Wednesday moved the ball through Kav' we by passed our midfield.
Whelan got a great reception from the Wednesday fans. The ones I was with would have him back tomorrow.
