is Ameobi Match Fit?
He hasnt had much 1st team action
I dont think Newcastles reserves would be up to the standard of the championship

Providing he knocks in 3 in the first half-hour, it doesn't matter.

I think for the next few weeks he will play 60/70 minutes and be replaced by Sidibe late on. We all know Sidibe is a really good sub as well when we need him late on, so..
Pearson signing will hopefully give Cresswell a game up top too, which is his best position in my opinion.

Smokey has got it spot on. Cresswell has had his chance upfront. In my opinion he only really took it once (at Palace). He has not impressed me from day one.
He puts in a 'good shift' but no more. We need a true winger out on the left, which Pearson appears to be.
Ameobi & Bothroyd upfront for me tomorrow

ameobi will be the REAL BEAST! he may struggle to last first few games, but he should be up to it, hes only 26, in prime condition.

I can see it being Bothroyd and Ameobi with Sidibe and Cresswell coming on late if needed
