With the money he has spent and the square pegs syndrome still prominent. Tony Pulis is on dodgy ground, If he takes us down as the current team will with Delap on wing ,Walters up front Huth fullback etc. He will get the sack because the club will turn on him supporters and Coates. PC will be well aware of the players atttributes and the budget he has spent. Personally i think its a shame he has signed some great players,he just seems scared to play them correctly. I have never read such complete and utter, unadulterated and unbridled opinion that completely differs from mine.

Starting Tuncay will NOT guarantee wins. Just ask Middlesbrough who went down after he started 38 league games.
Are Fuller, Diao and Gudjohnson fully fit? None had full pre seasons, but the experts on here seem to be in a position to say yes?

I shall scream and scream until I'm sick if Tuncay doesn't play. It's about the most sensible comment on the board tonight.

People are frustrated, because we are so close to being a very, very good team. But we are still approaching games from a underdog perspective, despite being amongts biggest spenders lately.
Pulis is a very good shoestring-budget manager, and has many other good qualities. But is he capable to rise to the next level, the level when we are really excepted to win most games and have a go also against the very best teams in this division?
Something is got to give soon, and I hope its not a Coates' transfer money. Still hope TP can change his approach accordingly our resources (players and finances) and we soon see an end of those 7-2-1 formations.

Fuller is a fantastic footballer who should start EVERY game, no matter how fit(well, 80%+), we are so awful without him it's untrue.
I agree with the lads who say Huth at full back is stupidity from Pulis, Huth should be alongside Shawcross, and Delap on the right? Come on, that's lunacy.
My (realistic) team tomorrow would be...
Sorenson
Wilko Shawcross Huth Higgy
Pennant Whitehead Delap Etherington
Fuller Jones
That, in my opinion, would give us a great chance of winning the game, the back four would be solid as fuck, with Whitehead and Delap coinciding with this - supporting the defence and also feeding four players who are as good as anything outside of the top 6!

Hasn't this manager done enough to earn trust by now?
If not, why not?

Hasn't this manager done enough to earn trust by now? If not, why not? Put yourself in Coates' position. You invest a lots of money on players but there is no real progress on the pitch.. what would you do? Give him a shoestring budget again, change the manager and have a real go, or sell the club? Any other options?

Peter Coates can't moan what his financial input has given him and neither can the supporters.

I agree that the return/success ratio has been very good for the past seasons, but I'm really talking about the future. TP has said that he will not change... that's my worry. We have better players on the pitch, but we still play the same tactics and underdog approach. TP should evolve according the recources in his disposal but so far there has been no real sign or desire to do that.

kevkj What a truly ridiculous post for so early in the season how a many games have we played ? and having beaten fulham - aston villa and drawn, having rattled the woodwork three/four times against west ham half a dozen all told ? if he's on 'dodgy ground' its because he's a professional football manager - end of ! and he manages a football club with a truly wierd set of fans (well on here anyways) pick your planet son (its difficult to know which one your actually on) I reckon you're talking out of uranus though Agreed, also, we SHOULD have drawn against Spurs, as we scored a goal.

If he gets the palyers that we have into the right positions playing the right football we can be pushing for Europe, if he puts the wrong players in the wrong positions we have in our squad right now we will be struggling for most of the season. first 10 games synopsis should hopefully give Pulis the team to quickly move up the prem after Silly season is out the way and everyone settles down.

One of those wins was against a very good team where the players we want to see played and in correct positions and amazingly we kept our first CLEAN SHEET now lets see what defence we throw together today eh?

Consequently, I feel compelled to inform you that your comments do have a certain degree of irony to them; you're precisely the type of bonehead you are lambasting, tbf.

cant see any reason why we would go down we have a big squad of decent players,we can defend & we have goals in the side.
factor in the general stability of the club & thats a recipe for mid-table at worst 15th or so.

I had nothing to do with the red card protest WHATSOEVER nor, did I ever condone it
that is bollocks !
but it is true to say upon occasion, Ive more than questioned his management and ultimately I too have called for his head.
The difference here is, even in spite of the bleeding obvious (i.e that hes done well) -there are people out there who will never accept him and will always find fault no matter what
DO NOT - EVER TARNISH ME WITH THAT BRUSH !
