I'm with Potter 84. I'm a Stoke fan and that's where it stops. I wouldn't even bother watching England if they were playing in my back garden.

Would you care more about England if a Stoke player was in the Squad?

If England lose in a tournament the 'pain' lasts about half an hour.
If England lsoe a friendly, I generally laugh as they are so over hyped
If Stoke lose, the pain goes on until the next draw/win- it is unbearable

The Ashes are next summer mate, but never fear we've always got the olympics instead

I support England and want them to win, and when they lose it bothers me for a little bit.
However, the current Stoke situation is eating away at me in a way supporting England could never come near.

Share the same view, although Im disappointed when England lose or play bad, which lets face it happens quite a lot, I get over it within an hour. If the mighty Potters slip up, well its dark times ahead and me missus knows to just leave me alone. Hopefully there wont be too much of that from now until the end of the season!

;D ;D ;DHave just joined up on this website. Will probably be posting memories tonight when England play. Quite agree with comments such as overpaid wankers. When Stoke lose it really does hurt, especially when people take the piss about Blyth Spartans and Telford etc etc. STOKE FOR THE TITLE GO AAAARRRRNNNN

Don't know about you but it pisses me right off when people creep out of the woodwork to support England who you know have no idea. All of a sudden everybody is an expert on football!
As for the original question England will never ever come close to the feelings that watching stoke gives me, win, lose or draw.

Depends on the circumstances. I've rarely felt as sickened by nogger as I was when Portugal knocked us out in 2006. It was awful.

i dont care bout england they load of poo tbgh Couldn't agree more. Apart from Beckham, he has given his all, if it wasn't for him ,we would've been in a far worse state. Well done Becks. The only player i admire in the England Team. Sad times indeed. Fucking Rio Ferdinand, who can't be arsed to turn up to a drugs test named as fucking captain.....

England are really like my arse. We can have as many mangers as you wish but until the muppets running the FA are removed we'll win nothing. These fools get away with murder. As a nation we should be campaigning to have them removed. The whole regime is old boy old school old fashioned. Get them out. For this reason I couldn't currently give a nats bollock about the national team. All hail Stoke City FC.

I can honestly say ive woke up this morning, even forgetting that England played last night until i got a text asking me what all that shit was last night - took me a few seconds to click in!
England Friendlies are a no brainer - not arsed. England Qualifiers - if we lose, its damaging to my pride due to me being fucking English. England in Tournaments - it really does turn into a sense of occasion & belief but before i get comfy it turns into dispair. I like to get myself wound up about tournaments else if we do well in them and im not into it, its in danger of passing me by..
Stoke any occasion - If we win its sheer pride & joy until somebody knocks me down a peg or two, which doesnt happen too often. Along with the optmism & belief that we can once again be in the top tier of football.
Stoke lose - its hatred towards any c@*t that scored against us or who puts us on the road to ruin in...... i.e, Mr Styles. Take a few days or even to the next match to get over a defeat!!
goarrnn Stoke!

i'd rather England loose than Stoke; simply because England is more of a brand and yes, over paid twats. Hopefully, when players play for Stoke, it does actually mean something.
