Wedding day? If so, who were Stoke playing and when. For me we were playing Leeds 1972 and we lost 0-3,I think A Leeds player broke his leg that day too. I missed the Grand National that day too. thanks to the wedding.

I was on my honeymoon when we got promoted at the Millennium, and I'll be in Paris for my wedding anniversary when we play Leicester this year.
Guess what, I do actually put my wife before Stoke.

my buddy got married saturday before xmas last year ... and we were playing west brom .. what incredibly poor planning.
As best man the only thing left to do was feign illness in an attempt to get my priorities right. He did ok - just had a bit of mither sorting out the 150 guests :-)
Feel guilty. nah. teach him to plan better in the future!

31st August 1990. First day of the season I think, we playing Tranmere & won 2-1.
I can remember sitting in the beer garden at the reception listening to the updates on the radio.

19th August 2000 - Stoke were away at Bristol City (from memory!) - won 2-1 coming from a goal down with a late winner I think?
Poss Thomas OG for them, and a Bjarni equaliser followed by a James O'Connor winner.
Not that I was paying attention on the day or anything. Or had Sky Sports on at the hotel.

October 5th 1991 Chester City Away Listened to the game on Radio joke in the kitchen at the Fitzherbert Arms with my best man and the landlord 0-0! Had to go on honeymoon for 4 days as I could only get 4 days off work. (Well either that or the fact that Stoke had Liverpool at home in midweek in the cup!)

Yes proper planning here as well, got wed in July. That said I'm having to miss the Wendy's game on Saturday due to a bloody wedding!! Both myself and SolihullStokie have made our feelings duly known to the bride (I personally feel he should have exerted more influence as being the uncle of the bride he has more clout than me ). The wife's happy though as she gets to see me on a Saturday for once! She won't be when I'm pissed and singing Delilah at midnight I'd guess!!

My first 3 weddings were while the season was in progress and I'm certain that this was a contributing factor to them ending.
The 4th and 5th were out of season and these both failed due to Stoke not doing so well and my wives not understanding the traumas we go through.
The 6th was rescheduled from a Saturday to a Friday so I could attend the match. This ended due to the fact that I found out that Sharrons previous name was Stephen.
The 7th will not be going ahead as Juana thinks that she has a devine right to listen to Stoke City World on a Saturday afternoon when there is still shopping, ironing and cleaning to be done, let alone my 14 kids tend to get hungry around this time of day.
Experience tells me, don't bother like boother.
